Scott Pilgrim Vs The World

Had the unfortunate pleasure of see this today when most of your mates are chicks and they refuse point blank to see The Expendables and make you chose between The Switch and this it was like choosing between being stoned to death with very big boulder or lots of smaller rocks.

In the end you no your dead or in this case you know your going to hate it. So i chose Scott Pilgrim Vs The World and how i quickly wished i chose to see The Switch.

As we say in Scotland this film is pish. One big pile of pish as a matter of fact. This is the kind of film that appeals to that 20 something 21st century geek who thinks there smart and funny and thinks a Ghostbusters t-shirt is a cool statement of nostalgia.

When in reality there a 2 dimensional cardboard cut out who is about as funny as watching a puppy being being ran over by a steam roller.

I don't even know where to start cause every bit of this film is just awful. So i will point out one thing that sums up this turd fest for me. In couple of scenes Michael Cera makes reference to the original Pac-Man being called Puck Man and how the name was changed cause they thought pepole would rub out part of the P.

In a later scene he is wearing an apron that has cook written on it. How apt it would be to rub out a bit of that O to describe accurately Michale Cera.

That's exactly why I'm not going to see this movie, it's just strikes me a quite juvenile.

Well that's how it struck me to before seeing it. But it goes to a different form of bad way beyond that.

4.9 / 5 (nerve-jangling suspense and ultimate destruction, when the monster comes to town; great special effects - see the glowing dorsal fin and death breath below, good sound design, interesting plot, well played and a tragic ending which I will not give away here; my only complain is that this release has the most unclean and damaged picture in my whole collection, for this reason one tenth deduction)





After having watched this I immediately ordered Godzilla: Final Wars.

The ending was bit of a downer like but still good stuff.
