Haven't decided whether or not I am going to buy it.  The ending can, sometimes, make me decide against it...time will tell.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

It would be a slap in the face of all fans of the series who bought the season sets as they came out, if this extra disc would only be included in the full series set and not in the final season set.

Sniff ... my thoughts exactly. I bought season 1-5 on Blu-ray already and would be sad if that epilogue weren't included in the season 6 set. Although, in the thread regarding the season 6 set, at Blu-ray.com, some user posted it would indeed be included in both sets. I hope he's right!

I believe I read yesterday that the epilog is to be included not just in the complete series set, but also in both the DVD and Blu-ray Seaon 6 sets as well

Now, my interest is spiked by ABC claiming/not claiming that the final scenes of the plane wreck on the beach was added by them, not the producers or writers, but nothing said from those writers/producers about that they had not created those scenes.

If they were meant to be the coda, then all six seasons could be seen as the hallucinations of a dying man. That everyone died in the first crash, and as Jack died he filled his life with a dream, imagining the back stories and futures of everyone he saw on the plane. But if the plane crash wreckage was not still as it was in the pilot (minus the people screaming and running raound) then only the flash sideways was unreal.

This makes a difference on one interpretation of the ending and therefore the series.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Over at DVDTalk a Canadian member wrote that the wreckage scene at the end didn't air on Canadian TV.

As a Canadian, I can confirm that....I didn't see any wreckage footage at the end of the episode.

I think it was a good balance between mystary (answering the quistions yourself and direction (letting you know what is going on.  At least it did not create more quistions than answers like Twin Peaks or lead into a non existing next season like Joan Of Arcadia and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicals.  I reall loved the ending, than again I also liked the ending of the Sopranos as well.  Not everything will have an ending as tiidey as Six Feet Under(which was excellent), especially shows like Lost and Twin Peaks.

More punishment for those who don't intend to buy the complete series.  Will buy Season 6 since I own 1-5.

UI would have been very angry if it was not.
