There could be many ways, how a wrong cover/profile could made its way into the database. Pre-release cover pics, fake cover which was not identified as one, ... |

Well, great. So lets fill the database with errors. ... As the BR really exists with this UPC (even if it got corrected very fast), I wouldn't call it a mistake. For users that got one of the misprinted Cabin Fever BRs, it would be a "mistake", if they enter the UPC and Dread would be added. For users that got the Dread BR, it would be a "mistake", if they enter the UPC and Cabin Fever would be added. Til now there is the agreement, that the first that was added got in database. If the mistake of Sunfilm would have never got through and so no-one could own the BR with the wrong cover, I would agree to change the profile. But in this case at least minimum one got the misprint. And perhaps many more. And perhaps more that will ever buy Dread. We don't know. So as stated, I don't think we could verify which should be the profile that should get the entry with UPC and which should be the entry with Disc Id. |

I you are not normal, then I am not normal right along with you. I tend to trust other users as well...until I find them doing something that breakds that trust. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | I thought I explained tyhat in my book the likelihood of a boot or other form of illegit release was slim and none, in my view. I see no reason to not believe Midian, I think he owns the title with the UPC. I hope he is able to help silent resolve this for himself. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. | Posted: | | | | My first thought was maybe profiles without upc can't be transfered, but i already did this in the past. How did you try to get it into your profiler? It is not a backup, so you can't use the restore function. On my system .profiler files are linked to DVDProfiler and double-clicking adds them to my database. I believe i read somewhere that it can also be placed into a specific directory and that the main programm imports them upon starting it.
If you can't get it to work, i can contribute my profile, but after two denied attemps, i wanted to let you have the honor of contributing the profile. |

| Posted: | | | | i don't want to be honored just because i contributed a file, thats not my opinion. i just want to have a clean database. so if you want to contribute: do that, i would be really happy.
the file: when i double-click the file, i get a message from the profiler, that the profile can not be added because of an UPC-error. so maybe you can contribute the bd - as is already said - with your disc-id, then i can add all missing information. if that is okay for you? |

Also have seen this. Thought he contributes to the new profile you added with disc id 206D6C75D256C1D9. That went wrong! |

Seems my no vote was not enough for the screeners and they added it. This is how I understood it also. Wondering why the contribution wasn't withdrawn a s we found the correct solution. Still have to say thanks for your work. I'm also going to change it back and lock it. |
