Originally I come from Berlin, Germany.

But now I live in a small town (pop. 10,000) called Herxheim. It's near the French border and near Karlsruhe.

I live in Petah - Tikva, Israel, Which literally means "Opening of Hope" in English.

Google Maps

For more info on the city's history:

One of the most strange things imported here is the British telephone box:

Doctor Who anyone?

Say hello to Mr. and Mrs. Seinfeld for me.

I reside in a small town in Norway called Jørpeland (that's an o with a line across, as it may not show correctly everywhere). About 6000 people, 10.000 if you count the entire county).

The Pulpit Rock is a somewhat famous (and popular) attraction for tourists:

Tardis is a police Box that's a telephone box

[geek mode]T.A.R.D.I.S. can form any shape, to blend into the "background" but The Doctor's tardis is stuck as a 1950's UK Police Call Box. The device to change shape is broken. (Therefore, this UK Red telephone box might well be another T.A.R.D.I.S. - or perhaps the current Doctor has fixed the transformation - after all, he made the St. John's Ambulance sticker re-appear after 20 or so years)

The Master's T.A.R.D.I.S. was at one stage stuck as a Greek Column, not sure if it still is.

Time travellers, can fix planets, not T.A.R.D.I.S. shape changing[/geek mode]

Oh, as to the "where in the world" keep it up, I will try to find some nice pics soon
Signature? We don't need no stinking... hang on, this has been done... blast [oooh now in Widescreen]
Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well

Well, since you asked for more pics...

Where I grew up is near Bee Spring, Kentucky.

There's not much in Edmonson County besides the lake & the cave.  There's no interstate, no stop lights, no Wal-Mart, it's a dry county, there's one fast food joint (a Dairy Queen), and only about 2000 more people live in the entire county than the town I live in now.  And if I won the lottery I would buy a lakefront lot and move back in a heartbeat.  I MISS living on the lake.

Here is a view down the road you would turn on to get to the house I grew up in.  Back when we lived there it didn't have a name and was gravel.

While this isn't exactly our backyard, it's a close approximation.  Our house sat on a lakefront lot on Nolin Lake.  This is a shot of Nolin Lake State Park.

Of course, this being Edmonson County, the best known (heck, only well known) part of the county is Mammoth Cave!

If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

I live in Pacifica, California. Pacifica is just south of San Francisco on the coast of the Pacific.

This is Linda Mar State Beach:

We're known for having a Taco Bell on the beach:

This is the Linda Mar valley, my neighborhood:

I live about a mile inland, so no, I do not live in the apartments that are falling into the ocean:

My wife and I retreat to her inherited family home in McCloud in Northern California on Mt. Shasta. It's an old mill town which was company-owned until the 1960s. My father-in-law was the town pharmacist in his pharmacy at the end of this building until the early 1980s:

The above is Lake Siskiyou, which is about 10 miles away in the town of Mt. Shasta.

Another view of Mt. Shasta from McCloud:

Remember the train bridge scene in Stand by Me? It was filmed here in McCloud. Sadly, the McCloud River Railway, operating until recently as a dinner train, has been shut down. The track of the historic railway was sold for scrap.

"Baby Blue Marine" was also filmed in McCloud in the early '70s:

If my memory serves that was also the location for the opening of petticoat Junction, the train playing the Hooterville Cannonball

I haven't heard that one yet, but I'm relatively new in town. I'll have to mention that to my wife.

I have nephews who were extras in Baby Blue Marine, the two youngest kids saluting the flag in the internment camp. James has a photo of him & Mark in costume on his fireplace mantle.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.
