I didn't say you Contributed the original profile, nor did I imply it Hal. You were the original Contributor here, nothing more, nothing less. The title was released in 2002, long before there were Rules or anything else.

But it was a mistake and calling you out publicly by name and then reinforcing it (lyonsden5) was completely and totally unnecessary. Mistakes happen to all of us. I got a chuckle out of it, as i would have if it had been me, along with a whoops. No big deal from where I sit, I didn't feel it was necessary or ever responsible to introduce the actual name here, let alone continue to drive ion it as some seem wont to do. I apologize for even mentioning my amusement, hal, had I not done that then the stalker would have had nothing to say.

Please do not mis-understand.  The last part of my post was tongue-in-cheek.  I have no problem with my name being brought up in connection with this profile.  After all, all you have to do is go look at the contributors list.

I, personally, am thankful to Rick for coming to my defense in his original post, and feel like everything after that was just mudslinging.

The only purpose of my post was to explain what happened and why, not to try to disassociate myself from the contribution.  I contributed it to this site, and I take full responsibility for the fact that it is wrong, and I failed to double check it before submitting it during the fever to populate the new database as quickly as possible.

I appreciate that. but i still feel that what rick did was wrong. I would not have done it and I ignored that the OP had brought it up because i didn't feel it germaine in any form and still don't. but that is just my opinion, and at least he did defend you as i would too. Like I said mistakes happen and all that needs to happen is for it to be fixed. But, no, I believe what rick did was basically wrong, perhaps wrong is too strong a word, maybe unnecessary is better and despite the defense he was unnecessarily pouring gasoline on a fire. JMO

The fact that you wouldn't have done it, does not mean it was wrong for Rick to do it.  In no way did I perceive his post as having "poured gasoline on a fire".  I perceived it as a friend sticking up for another friend.  Simple as that.

What's with this back and forth, hal. Am I not entitled to my opinion? I did not perceive that it was necessary to do. I didn't feel it a question worthy of answering publicly, there was no need to introduce the user's name, no matter who it was. That is my OPINION and I have even stated that it is my opinion. WTF, I am beginning to see a picture, but I'll wait and see.

I did not create it, and you will see that it was released in 2005, which means it was probably sitting in the Intervocative database for some time before the switch over to Invelos.

Perhaps someone can go back and see if they can figure out who contributed it at Intervocative.(

The IVS contribution notes are here. Only 1 contributor August 3 and 8 2005.

Unless I am misreading it, this was the sarcastic post.  Hard to tell because Mark is rarely sarcastic.

I don't understand this sarcasm word everyone keeps throwing around.

And for Skip, yes, I was being sarcastic. We've ALL shown our bad side from time to time.  Even Ken admitted today that he'd have to ban himself if he got too strict.  But I wasn't honestly suggesting that Rick turn evil!

Out of curiosity, Big Daddy, is this the movie you got? Is it is as great as its cast? Because I may take a swing by and pick it up if it's any good.

Yeah that's the flick, haven't watched it yet so I can't say, but what I saw during the opening credits wasn't exactly getting me hyped for the next discovered classic. Of course that wasn't any real actors in those few minutes either, so I have hopes and will let ya know when I get around to checking it out.

Sorry for mentioning any names out here, glad to see nothing got out of hand, no one got hurt, reps are still good, all body parts attached.   I didn't think hal was bad which was kinda why I asked, and with that link I see it wasn't him anyway in the first place. It should be correct in the database soon, I submitted with that UPC and notes about the Soap set being an error.

Skip, I sometimes think if I told you the sky was blue you'd say "Hey, look at this new hammer I bought yesterday".  Seriously, half the time I'm not sure what conversation you're reading!

But it's all good.  I was just having some fun.  I've seen everyone's bad side (mine and yours included).  Well, not everyone.  I don't think Pete and Kathy have a bad side.  But I've seen everyone elses.

To be clear, I was just having a good time.  I wasn't trying to pick on Rick.  Just lighten the mood a little.

What we have here is a failure to communicate.  I think we should laugh and move on now.

Well, I don't read every thread.  But if you have a bad side, you don't seem to bring it out in public! Which makes me wonder how bad it must be that you don't feel comfortable displaying it here of all places!
