Just as an aside, and I know this won't matter to those that think this makes no sense, from everything I have read, 'Neveldine/Taylor' is how they are professionaly know.

OK, this makes sense. If this is considered as a stage name for their "group", you just contribute Neveldine/Taylor in first name field, as credited. But this was not a choice of the poll  .

The Wachowski Brothers, The Hughes Brothers, The Brothers Strause (AVP2)...
what makes this any different? if we know the names we used them with the credited as. Credited as matches what the screen says. Opition 1 is correct if we plan to follow the rules.

Either that or all my Matrix and Hughes Brothers films are messed up, because in all instances of credits like this, the first opition is what is used (not by me in most cases).

It wasn't an option because that isn't their common name per the CLT.  If it were, that is how I would have entered it.

I also often see credits where it says Produced by: fname lname  fname lname  &  fname lname. I don't credit this for being one person, and I can't see how to reach this interpretation. I give each of the three persons one credit as producer.

I do not understand your logic. You say that they worked and were credited as a group, and you search CLT as individuals. In CLT, the Beatles are by their group name, not as individuals. And if you consider them as individuals the "Mark Neveldine [Neveldine/Taylor], Brian Taylor [Neveldine/Taylor]" is just ridiculous.

I think I'm really not the man to come here. This world is too strange for me...

The difference is that in this case, we have both persons credited with their name. That is not the case with The Wachowski Brothers.

If you saw the credit "Directed by John Adams & Clive Adams", you wouldn't enter it as John Adams [John Adams & Clive Adams]. To me, this situation is the exact same and that's why I voted for option 2.

They do work, and are credited as a group.  That doesn't, however, mean they have always worked with each other.  As with The Pang Brothers, they are only credited that way when they work together.  When the work on individual projects, they are credited individualy.

I agree with you.  If the credit had been "Directed by Mark Neveldine & Brian Taylor," I would have entered them as individuals with no 'credited as'.  But they aren't.  Neveldine/Taylor is their professional name.

Exactly as Paul McCartney that is in CLT under his name AND under The Beatles. You choose the individuals or the group, not a mix "individual (credited as a group)".

No you follow the Rules...AS CREDITED/CREDITED AS. It is not really a hard concept to grasp. You want something else locally...you have that right.

No, that is what you do.  What I do is follow the rules, and the rules tell me to "use the "Credited As" field where the person's name differs from the credited name."  That is the case here, so that is what I did.

I follow exactly the rule :  I enter the stage name of this group exactly as credited. Not necessary to use CLT of individuals, we are speaking of the group. When you have The Beatles in credits, you enter The Beatles in first field (as stage name). You do not enter Paul//McCartney (credited as "A beatle") and same for the others. Same here.

This is not the person's name. It's the name of the group of two persons. See my example about Beatles on my previous post.

Either way would be perfectly acceptable, YOUR way you don't capture the band members.
