Ah producers. Well, while I don't expect much from the upcoming A-Team remake, it does boast an incredible Production team. Consisting of the Stephen J. Cannell (the series creator) Tony and Ridley Scott, hopefully this will at least make it interesting, though nothing can make it GRRRRREAT! (apologies to Thurl Ravenscroft)Skip

ahh good ol Stephen J, Cannell ...

In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

At least you gave him credit, unlike Chuck Jones in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

Howard Hawks' Rio Lobo is a remake of his own El Dorado, which in turn is a remake of his own Rio Bravo... he made the same film three times in eleven years!

I agree that El Dorado was a remake of Rio Bravo, but I don't see how you can say that Rio Lobo was a remake of either one.  About the only thing they had in common was that they were all Westerns starring John Wayne.  The plot of Rio Lobo was significantly different from the plot shared by El Dorado and Rio Bravo.
Another Ken (not Ken Cole)

As I heard from this one I just thought: This could give Addicted2DVD a new avatar.

Even Hawks admitted it was a remake -- a sheriff defending his office from the bad guys. All the rest was details... the Hitchcockian "MacGuffin"
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

There is a hilarious line in El Dorado that Cole ( Wayne) says to Robert Mitchum:
"last time you took the front door and I took the back, this time we'll do'er the other way around."
