Don't know if this is at all possible but could we have completely open credits but have them sectioned so each user could choose what part of the credits they are interested in and just accept updates for the selected sections, so say anyone who is not interested in the sound credits would uncheck that section and would not received or be notified of any updates to that particular section.

That's a great idea that should keep everybody happy! 

I try and contribute whatever the database calls for. But, I've found I rarely look at much of that data except while contributing!

IMDb had the potential to be an excellent resource, Ace. Except for some very simple problems. They allowed their users to run completely amuck, with the result beuing that their data is inconsistent and many times it is totally fictionalized in all respects and with respect to crew it is near worthless once you get outside the "Prime" Crew Roles. Additionally to that Ace, their data is not backed up or documented in any form. Their attitude seems to mirror the attitudes of some of our users, "It is because I say it is so." It's why I will NEVER use them as a SOLE source for any kind of data.
