I think you can do it.  But you do know that Fear Itself: Season 1 is coming out on September 15 don't you?  Complete with 4 director's cuts and 5 unaired episodes.  It combines horror and TV! Not to temp you or anything.

Hmmm... Maybe I should change my vote.

I don't think I could beat last year's totals without abstaining. But I still have tomorrow (and this evening) I can watch some horror yet. some plans fell through today so I was able to fit in Salem's Lot (1979 version) today.

Pete,

I'll bet you have a lot of non-Horror TV Series sets you haven't watched all the way through yet.  You could probably spend the next 3 months watching DVDs without repeating anything and still not touch a horror title.  I know from the contributions you make that you have a lot of TV series that are not horror-related -- and that's just the titles I have in my owned and wish lists.  And that's just your TV titles!

Nope... don't think I could... and wouldn't on the horror titles. Just listed my unwatched collection to show I have plenty to choose from. And that isn't even including the stuff I have already watched.

Well, even though you hav a lot of Horror yet to watch, there is probably at least 3 months worth of non-horror stuff on your unwatched list.  So maybe you will be able to do it.  Start with Mark's suggestion of Arrested Development.

I will be attempting to go without horror starting on July 1st... until October 1st when I will be starting my Month Long Horror/Halloween Marathon. If I can make it that would be 92 days horror free! 3 full months without watching horror movies or horror TV Shows.

Before last year's marathon I went 66 Days without any horror. This is almost a full month longer then I went last year. But last year I also watched...

- 100 Horror Movies
- 45 Horror/Halloween TV Episodes
- 2 Horror/Halloween Shorts

... during my marathon. If I am to beat those numbers this year I will really need to be in the mood to watch some horror when Oct. 1st gets here! So what do you all think? Knowing my love of horror... can I make it 3 full months without watching any horror?

it will be tough but i think you can do it. any horror movies you are DYING to watch?
My wife doesn't let me watch horror movies if my kids(ages 4, 2, and 5 months) are awake. the oldest, my girl, is the niteowl. some nights she stays awake untill midnight!!

Somehow I missed the above post when it was first posted. Sorry brimac5477!

Nope... I made sure any horror in my collection I was dying to watch got watched before I started abstaining. There is a few I don't own yet (like A Haunting in Connecticut that comes out tomorrow and the newest Underworld).

Well I been 13 Days without horror now. And I do not miss it at all!

OUCH! what was that? Skip did you get your 50Kvolt keyboard zapper working and turn it into a lie detector?

OK... ok I won't lie... I do miss it. But it hasn't been too bad yet!
