| | Posted: | | | | No way to be sure. There's no known way to "hack" accounts, but if someone has access to your password or registration key, they can of course access your online account.

In my opinion the big problem on this site is severe lack of moderation. There are so many issues and questions posted to the forums that could be easily solved by a single and simple reply from Ken or other people he appoints as moderators, as well as timely updates to the contribution rules themselves. Instead, threads go on for pages and pages of pointless bickering and insults, with SOME users having free reign to troll, insult, and belittle others to their heart's content, without any fear of reprisal from a moderation team or from the site owner himself.

Ive seen occasions (on other forums) where a person has gained a sort of reputation where other internet users start searching stuff from the user using google and other methods. So the user has come back to delete all hes/her posts, this system seriously restricts ones ability to stay anonymous. | | | | Last edited: by whispering |

Yes, it is quite unfortunate for reference threads, plugin and other tool threads, etc. that want to keep updated information in the first post. But I meant my agreement in a more general way. If a user like GigaWizard chooses to remove his posts, he should be able to do so. It doesn't matter if we deem this justified or not, it should ultimately be his decision. | | | | Matthias |
