I've got a collection about 10% of that size and I have 56 unwatched. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

Too much!! Its all a matter of perspective IMHO. Some use more money to buy a better car then all my DVD's have cost. I dont even own a car (dont like driving in the city). I drive a bicycle, get my daily exercise from that, and save enough money so i can buy the DVD's i want |

BTW, I only have gaps in local collection due to child profiles, looks like they're all in order and out of the boxes on the online list. Too bad my custom pictures don't show up there. I bet some think I have multiple copies of movies I don't due to the boxsets and children. I was thinking the same thing! Next time one of my friends calls me names for having a collection of 2000+, I'm totally popping online and showing them this thread! Of course, I guess that number is kind of subjective. For example, all those animated shorts that come on the same disc as older films as special features (like The Cat Concerto that comes on The Yearling disc), I count manually in my local collection (or am trying to anyway... I've only got about 12 out of maybe 100 entered! ), so someone could view my collection # as inflated. Then again, there's always things like this: http://www.invelos.com/ProfileLinks.aspx?id=014381059229 in my collection, where the boxset has over 100 films contained on it that have yet to be entered into the system that aren't counting. So I guess it balances out! | | | The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play. |

| Posted: | | | | People always or seem to wonder if people with large collections really watch all those DVDs. Well that's why I buy them. I could care less if I lost every one of them or anything else I have of material value..But I am a collector, but not for expressed purpose of collecting anything. I just don't throw anything away. First it was jazz LPs, when jazz went funk I collected classical, Then mystery paperback I bought to read on the plane, flying to somewhere to solve a computer problem, hardware, software or write some specialized program. When I finally got back to Arizona for good and bought a place of own it was photography. (I had a bed room converted into a lab, traded my. Corvette in for a Jeep and traveled all over the Southwest taking scenics. Then CDs, I've got about 2,000 and 7,000 of the tunes are on my PC., sorted out in various play lists. The classical I play on my McIntosh system, Mahler just don't make it on the tiny PC speakers, DVDs, I collect all genres, especially crime/mysteries. And I watch them as soon as I get them. Old TV shows that are not on rerun or I've never seen before like Man With a Camera Charles Bronson) or M Squad (Lee Marvin). I stopped watching TV broadcast casts and just buy the DVDs, I enjoy them more when I can watch a whole season without being interrupted. TV half-hour series like The Golden Girls or I Dream of Jeannie I keep on a multi-disc player. to fill when I don't have time for a movie. The foreign film I watch when I get around to them. The last few days I watched Mad Men Season Three, Southland, Philanthropist, the Last season of Lovejoy, Canterbury's Law and Shark. About an hour ago I finished watching The Blind Side and all its extras. Oh, yes I watch most for the extras also | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.
