I am not so sure about this, at least not to the degree that this will make LG a big winner. Yes, some people may want to ditch their HD DVD player and buy the combo, to save space maybe, but others will probably just add a Blu Ray player. I agree. A few may buy a combo player, but people who bought into HD DVD already have a player. Why spend around $800 for a combo player when they can spend $400 or $500 to just buy a Blu Ray player and have both formats covered. Like I said a few, who have "space constraints" will go the combo route (problems and all), but I actually would not be surprised to see the combo players go the same route as HD DVD.
