Just like how we determine possessives. The US version has no tagline FWIW. The only place the Rules tell us to reference the credit block is for "possessives". Nowhere does it tell us to reference the spine. | | | Hal |

| Posted: | | | | If I relied on "research" rather than what is on the cover, there would be no title in the database known as "There's Something More About Mary".
The word "more" is set off to the side of the actual "title" and it could easily be argued that it is not part of the "title" based on research which would show that the title EVERYPLACE else is "There's Something About Mary".
There are two fields in the database for a reason. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

(unless I'm reading your opinion on Iron Maze wrong, in which case I apologise) | | | Last edited: by samuelrichardscott |

| Posted: | | | | The first two are taglines. The other is a sub-title.....IMO. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

| Posted: | | | | So what makes it a subtitle and not a tagline, when you consider the overall evidence of the title in the credit block, the film itself etc etc? |

| Posted: | | | | Tagline: "In entertainment, a tagline is a small amount of text which serves to clarify a thought for, or designed with a form of, dramatic effect."
Subtitle: "Subtitle (titling), an explanatory or alternate title of a book, play, film, musical work, etc., in addition to its main title" | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

Suffice to say that to me, these are all taglines, and therefore not part of the title. I fully agree. |

So exactly what "A labyrinth of deception" is then? I hope you're less confused about porn. | | | Last edited: by samuelrichardscott |

"Because I said so." in other words. I don't need you to put words in my mouth or twist the words that I wrote. I wrote exactly what I meant. | | | Hal |

So exactly what "A labyrinth of deception" is then? I hope you're less confused about porn. Look, I read it as a subtitle, you read it as a tagline. Let's just agree to the fact that there is no definitive answer available to us. | | | Hal |
