???
Don't quite understand ...
If I understood your point correctly it boiled down to "Do not use Microsoft Windows (any version) since Microsoft collects your data and uses it for purposes that are beyond your control"

I just tried to show up that Microsoft is not alone with this behaviour (Just as an example: For becoming part of the Facebook and/or What'sApp databases I don't even have to register, it completely suffices to be in the adress-book of a registrant) and what you'd have to do to regain full control of your personal data.
Having control over personal data nowadays is an illusion as long as you don't undergo some severe restrictions within your personal life.

In fact your "Straw-Man"-link is by far the better example for a "Straw-Man".

I linked to an article that lists very specific things about this tech preview release of Win10 pertaining to privacy. You then used textbook straw man arguments in what I am assuming is your attempt to refute the importance of the article, then followed up by posting even more straw man arguments, claiming I said things that I in fact never said.

This article is in fact a pretty big deal and is becoming major talk on many tech forums. In fact, this privacy policy is pretty much a direct violation of European Union privacy laws.

Have you actually read the article with your eyeballs and comprehended it? If so, and you have no problems with any of it, then that is your personal view. But people need to be very aware of what this tech preview release of Windows 10 is doing before they use it. That is why I provided the link here.
99.9% of all cat plans consist only of "Step 1."

Now it is beginning to get funny.
As you might have realized I wasn't commenting your link but your excerpts from the EULA.

That might be, because you yourself in fact said nothing, you just gave links and quotes.
This collection (for me) allowed only one conclusion.

Yupp,
and as I said, so is the privacy policy of Twitter, Facebook, What'sApp, Google+, ... (check several pending suits in several EU countries and from the EU commissions), so nothing new here. In fact the walls fell down when Microsoft implemented its "Trusted Computing".

Full-Heartedly agree.

All I said was that even this knowlege will not scare off any potential user.
The privacy leaks are nothing new (Compare Facebook ToS, What'sApp ToS, etc.

I wish you all the best trying to get the worms back into the can.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

For what its worth, i thought the EULA was well written. It clearly said what they do and why, which is something i couldn't say about the other companies EULAs. As someone pointed out, for a beta thats acceptable. Wouldn't buy it if the final version had the same conditions.
On this subject, i highly recommend watching "Terms and Conditions May Apply" documentary. Really opened my eyes. Showed the bigger picture really well. Before i thought it was just individual companies doing their thing.
