Why not use a second db? I have recently retouched all covers that have rating logos (Hate those with a vengeance!), and to replace the missing parts of the covers I downloaded all similar ones to look for candidates. But I did that on a secondary db to prevent that I accidentally screw up my main-db.

I've been getting the "(Not Responding)" thing over the last few months or so, usually if I have the Profiler program open for days at a time. I often just don't close it, as I have plenty of memory installed. Sometimes it happens within a few hours though. But, I can't kill the Profiler program closed by any normal means. Ctrl + Alt + Delete (Task Manager) doesn't kill it. I also have a couple of small programs that can terminate running programs and processes...and they can't kill it closed either. And if I can't close it and it's not responding, I obviously can't reopen the program. I finally just have to reboot, and then of course after I reboot it informs me that it didn't close properly and suggests a database repair. That's getting really annoying. No other program does this...ever in my experience. The only thing strange I see is that the Profiler program runs with "UAC Virtualization" I run Windows 7 64-Bit | | | | Corey | | | | Last edited: by Katatonia |

Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally. So I'm an anarchist, deal with it. Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted... |
