The titles were about ten years old and were OOP and unavailable however Universal offered to replace them free of charge. They must keep a stock pile of each disc just in case of situations like these and the replacement discs were identical to the defective discs. |

I may have copies that are defective and would like to see a report card on any abnormality 's of DVD's or HiDef Discs .. so I could persue manufactors for a full replacement ,, I seem to remember that dvd's or Cd's were guaranteed to last a 100 years .... under the right climate conditions . I agree with you and I am going to start the thread for it.

| | Posted: | | | | I put collector... I spend more time collecting than watching... I see most things in the theater, then buy on disc, and get to whenever (or never) but own and enjoy owning. Same for TV... see lots of tv on the TiVo and then buy as it's released. I enjoy collecting and owning wonderful film and tv. I love film, but I simply don't have the time to watch it at home consistently.

If I did that I would stop buying and use the money for other interests. I buy because it means I can re-watch; and to not do so seems to make collecting redundant. But hey, each to their own!  |
