It's listed that way (Elsa Lanchester credited as ?) in my profile of that film. It's also the case with Boris Karloff in the original Frankenstein and he is listed this way in DVDP Boris Karloff (?) as The Monsterand not ? as The Monster(...) Boris Karloff (uncredited) as The MonsterI'm sure there is more case than those 2 (or 3 if we count the movie we talk about here) |

I don't think this will create a CLT problem as Skip fears. After all, what can be done is to document the various different ways a single actor is credited in all of that actor's films, and since I don't think we're going to see the same actor credited in multiple films in that fashion, it shouldn't cause any conflicts. I agree, see also Alan Smithee, or Allen Smithee, Alan Smythee and Adam Smithee. | | | Updated List of Accepted Birth Years |

Quote: I haven't pulled out my copy to check it yet, but from what I understand it should be Anthony Dawson [?] as Ernst Blofeld where ? is credited on screen. And at the end of the credits Eric Pohlmann as Ernst Blofeld's Voice (voice) (uncredited) with documentation.
Why would Anthony Dawson be entered as such when we only see part of his body? Is that more important than the bloke supplying the voice? The bloke supplying the voice I would consider a voice-over actor. The same as Barbara Jefford who supplied the voice for Tatiana in the same film. She wasn't credited in the film she is a (uncredited, voice) credit. |

There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |
