"1) If a film had a theatrical rating, I list that rather than "unrated" or "not rated" and list the content warning."

I do this also, and we are half right. The rules say if a film had a rating at some point, it's unrated. If never submited for rating, not rated! The reasons stay local only, esp. since they rarely change from version to version, usually only unrated as that particular cut never got submited to the MPAA.

Poster for child profiles in boxsets is my other one mentioned so far.

The last would be my large collection of fully made-up custom profiles populating my wishlist. 90-95% of them will never have real dvds, but they all get full audits as if they were real. So if you need to know who did thew make-up on some long forgotten 80's porn title, check my wishlist, it might be there! If it was credited on the video I have/had, it's credited there! Amazingly, or not-so-amazingly, this site is the only one that has ever made me miss credits being trimmed off a porn movie! I actually got a bit bummed when one of the very hard to find ones had the credits lopped off.

Oh yeah, in those pornfiles, I also make a scene list of who did who, and an asterik if I found a scene hot.

I get all my porn common names from iafd.

Never met that one,
but in fact I would equate these too.

Not sure if it's actually "breaking the rules" but I omit all subordinated Arts-Crew like "Wardrobe Supervisor" or "Make-Up Artist" if there's a "Department Head" or "Designer" listed. I'm simply not interested in tracing the people that put the costumes back into the closet or that merely apply paint to faces.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

1) Standardize the Season counts 01,02,03 etc

2) Depending on the cover art on box sets and child profiles -

3) I prefer that is a DVD/BR have more than one disc in the case to have child profiles for each disc, this allows me to say keep the BR 3D, BR 2D, DVD, DC into the correct sub collections.

4) unique titles get collection #'s

i am sure there are more

Most of them were already said previously

1) I use the cover I have not the first one,
2) I create manual profile when two or more movies are on a single side DVD,
3) I use threatrical poster for the child profile cover,
4) I use the name I know someone for as common name not the most use one,
5) I differenciate the repeated name by using the first field only,
6) I don't use the adult rating and the adult genre,
7) I use special effects for special effects and not visual effects,
8) I don't use the possesive titles,
9) I always credit the sound recordist,
10) and I'm sure there are more...

That's exactly what I do, just list the person ulitmately responsible for the artistic contribution, and ignore the hat check girl.
I wish I could do the same for producers, but the multitude of varieties is dazzling, like co-supervising producer or assistant executive producer or executive assistant producer (making some of these up, I know). And I suspect that most of them don't actually do anything other than cashing their paycheck.

But although my original message was intended as a joke (but about a real example), I do break the rules in listing "obviously" important contributors rather than just sticking to those literally mentioned in the rules/guidelines.

I'm sure there are other rules I don't adhere to with my local, but those that come to mind are:
BR/DVD combo's are not set up as box sets.
BR/DVD combo's always set up as if just the BR
Cast - not in Alpha order or in order of appearance.
Cast - No Birth Years unless I know I have a listing for more than one person sharing the same name in ly local db
No possesive's in Titles unless the billing block shows it that way as well.
No group dividers in Crew.
No group dividers in the Cast where that group has just 2 or 3 names in it.

Of course each rule that's ignored locally requires more hands-on when accepting any updates, but such is the cost of personalization.

I delete English cast from all anime titles.
I delete stupid editions (like 'Super Amazing Value Edition'  )
I take cast for all Korean titles from hancinema, even if the profile has bigger cast list. So that they link properly.
I harmonize season titles (e.g. Battlestar Galactica: Season 1.0, because i have 2.0 and 2.5).

None. For some time past I download all approved contributions, no matter what. If the data are good enough for Invelos, they are good enough for me.

Mostly the CLT stuff.  I've come up with my own rules for my local which make sense to me.  Also, I don't sweat birthyears.  I don't go out of my way to find them, but if they show up in my local, I don't freak out.

I attach # to any numbered collection such as The Criterion Collection.

ie.

Broadcast News: The Criterion Collection #552
The Servant (Bangjajeon): #009
The World (Siejie): Masters of Cinema Series #12

I do this for Criterion also.  Only other one is fake BY's if none can be found to separate same name cast/crew.
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

Definitely seek out individual cover images for box sets
&
I count BD/DVD multi-disc packs as 1 BD and 1 DVD to keep my sub categories straight ( since I like to know which movies I can take on the go in portable dvd player...)

I replace the covers and data if I own a re-release.

I also edit (if necessary) the season titles of a tv series so that they follow the same guidelines ("Season 1, Season 2, Season 3" instead of "Season 1: Life On Mars," "Season Two," "The Third and Final Season")

1. Always remove possessives in titles.

...obviously not much of a rule breaker.
