| Posted: | | | | This site lists a number of variations of his name including: "Tom Tom" Washington 'Tom Tom' Washington Tom C. Washington Thomas C. Washington The first two tell me that "Tom Tom" is a nickname and not a first and middle name. The second two tell me he actually has a middle name that starts with the letter "C" making it extremely unlikely that the second "Tom" is his middle name. That's more than enough to support 'Tom Tom/Washington' for me. | | | Hal |

The first two tell me that "Tom Tom" is a nickname and not a first and middle name.
The second two tell me he actually has a middle name that starts with the letter "C" making it extremely unlikely that the second "Tom" is his middle name. What little bio data there is is the same across all the name variants. There simply is no bio data available to indicate anything.
That's more than enough to support 'Tom Tom/Washington' for me. Hal: That site has nothing of importance. It is simply a list of names that cross to each other , nothing more. American pianist, arranger and producer. Born: 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Tom Washington was raised in the Ida B. Wells projects on Chicago's South Side. He first played drums, then No parental data, no nothing. an indicator that his real name is Thomas Washington REALLY then what is Thomas C. Washington. Not enough data to prove anything one way or the other, not even circumstantially | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | Isn't this a rather pointless debate as it is going to eventually end up as Tom Tom/Washington anyway Quoting Ken Cole: Quote: Version 3.8 will begin the process of improving our cast and crew entry and linking system. At present, we have removed the First/Middle/Last name system and replaced it with Given Name and Surname. On a member-by-member basis, the default display order for these can be reversed (commonly used for Asian names). In anticipation of this, DVD Profiler for iOS already uses this name system - Given Name and Surname. |

But I agree that cases like these aren't always so easy to judge. Yep, agree with Hal on this one. | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com
