There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

| Posted: | | | | According to the Rules as written today, Costumer is clearly not allowed. I would suggest the following modification to them however. Costumer is frequently the only such credit in many TV Series, I would suggest allowing the use of Costumer if and only if it is the only Costuming credit involved in a given film or TV Series | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! And so on... |

As it stands, extremely minor (and entirely different) jobs are being lumped together with the actual costume designer, the actual sound mixer, and so on. There are specific cases where the rules try to spell this out (only "Principal Editors listed when credited together", for instance, which ensures that any further "Film Editor" credited deep down in the end credits are kept out), but generally, the rules leave things up to the individual user, which sometimes leaves the door open for someone to award huge credits to the wrong people. It's all very unfortunate... | | | Last edited: by T!M |

| Posted: | | | | Good idea, tim. but the best answer remains simply to be able to list the credit data as it appears in the credits and end this silly shoehorning which causes nothing but trouble | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

I'm freed of ignorance and arbitrariness. You know a simple way to do that exist and you will see no submission or need to vote on them anymore... Just do as I did and upload a blank database on the invelos server and stop using the database, doing it ourselves isn't that hard and removed a lot of silliness... | | | Last edited: by Jimmy S |

I decided to continue to use the database, I just do not invest time anymore. Now I accept updates no matter what, if the quality of the contributions is good enough for Invelos then it is good enough for me. I'm using the extra time to, for example, physically re-organize my collection. Only recently I successfully reconquered access to my CD collection, which had been buried behind a wall of stacks of DVDs for years. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. Contribution to The Omega Man: "Added Margo Baxley and Bucky Rous credited as Costumers.".
With 14:2 yes-votes, and approval by Invelos on Mar 16 2011, voting has become useless.
I do not want to spend any more time on a useless process. Pending further notice I stopped voting and contributing. Don't know why, I suddenly have the vague feeling that my language skills do not comply with the strict linguistic standards other fellow users rightly expect from the Invelos forums. But still, I'm clever enough to copy&paste cast&crew from an existing profile, and to unreflectingly click on the "Vote Yes" button. So beginning today I contribute and vote again. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |
