Isn't that what people normally do when they quote another post? As unimaginable as it may seem to you, what you think you wrote and what people actually read are often two different things. Go back and re-read what you wrote, as if it were written by someone else and you'd never seen it before. | | | Hal |

Perhaps it is you who should go back and reread it as I never, not once, said that the issue was closed nor did I tell surfeur to keep quiet about anything. If I did, please be so kind as to quote that portion of my post. I am fully aware that people often read something other than what was actually written. When that happens, I will do my best to explain it. If that doesn't clear things up, then I have to assume it is because the person wants to read it that way and, to quote you, I cannot do anything about that. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I'm sure all of you are fully aware that you've made your point (no matter the topic) and whatever it is, it's not going to change this year anyway.
So why not give it a rest, it's not like you're going to "lose the argument" just because you don't repeat your POV for the umptieth time. Well said. I'm pretty sure than Ken needs the holidays, too. He said he is working on the iOS version 1.1 to add much requested features and I bet he want to celebrate christmas with his family, not with his computer. In the next two weeks there won't be a change to the common name system, the spelling of actors, the MasterTranslationSource, supported ratings, languages, DPO+, etc. And I think that we have more than enough posts about those topics. We have a thread for most requested features which is updated regulary by "Kulju"... When the moment comes that Ken wants to improve the online database and the desktop version, he knows where he can find inspiration. Much as he does right now with the iOS version where he motivated users to post their ideas in the iOS feature request corner. So please, let us have some peace here. Stay cool and enjoy the next weeks. | | | Last edited: by SpaceFreakMicha |

we have several users here who all have their very own pet peeve.
In the spirit of the upcoming holidays, why don't all of you try to not bring it up again until 2011. ...
Nonetheless, I wish all of you a Merry Christmas. Let's hope your wise words will be followed by the rest of the people here. Big 'greenie' for you | | | Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer. |

| Posted: | | | | I agree that the current system is open to improvement, both for the users as well as for the contributors and it's useful to try and achieve that. There's no harm in discussing that in a respectful way.
I also agree that this is a time of holiday and Ken and his family certainly deserve a break. So it might be a good idea to let some things rest until after the holidays, although I'm not against brainstorming sessions amongst users to try and come up with solutions to problems or questions (some might even have more time to actively participate now since they have days off?)
And finally, I also agree that Invelos probably is too busy right now, rightfully so, to work out the bugs of DVDP app. So I think it would be unfair to expect Ken and co to dive into a thorough reworking of the database at this stage. I still think it'll be necessary to do that at some point, but now's not the time. | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

If that is the case, I am quite sure that you can point to the many other times I have pointed out a 'gotcha' when it comes to surfeur. As to why I posted, it's because surfeur made a statement that simply wasn't true. He makes this statement, quite often...that statement being that this issue could be solved if only Ken would weigh in on the subject. As long as he keeps making that statement, I will keep pointing out the fact that Ken has done just that. You aren't telling me that I am not allowed to do that, are you? | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I think what Ace was trying to say is that surfeur has been blamed for derailing some other threads recently and in the case of the derailment of this particular thread, it wasn't him. | | | ...James
