| | Posted: | | | | I love board games! In the summer, my family goes up to a nearby lake and rents a cabin for a week. We spend a lot of it playing board games. It's amazing how much my nieces and nephews love to play them even in this electronic age. My 10 year old nephew discovered Yahtzee this summer and he likes it more than some of his video games.
I've noticed that board games are really being pushed this last year or so by a lot of family groups. First because they're cheaper than going out to a movie for a family of four and second because they promote togetherness. Maybe this will be a good comeback for them?
But to stay on topic a little, I'd definitely plunk down more money for either a book profiler or a cd one. I have a book one that I hate. Among other things, every time they update the program (which comes about once every 2 months), you have to pay for the upgrade. And for what they offer and the service they offer, it's so not worth it. They have other types than book, but I refuse to give them more of my money. If Ken, however, decided that he could spend time on a different one, I would not hesitate to buy it (well, I don't need a video game one, but book or cd I would!). | | | | Lori |

Then again, because I almost never have anyone else that wants to play, I end up just designing them on the computer and playing against a weak AI  I live with two other people and 2 of us are currently unemployed. So, board games are a good way to keep ourselves entertained. Between us we have over 100 games ranging from the standard family games (Monopoly, Cluedo, Yahtzee etc) to the more involved adult hobby games (World of Warcraft The Boardgame, Runebound, Fury of Dracula, Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Kingsburg etc). On many a Sunday we've sat down with a pile of games and played for hours. I've often said that anyone could come to our house and not leave for a year and still find something to do or entertain them....unless they don't like music, books, films, board games, computer games of course. So, back on topic, please Ken give us alternatives to DVDP! |

Release Date - when the CD was released Original Release Date - I see 2 uses for this one * Rock / Pop / ... date when the album was first released * Film Music date when the movie was released I would also like to see * conductor * orchestra * choir * field for band members and the instruments they play * record producers * case type These are the extra fields I use in musiccollector.
