| | Posted: | | | | Reading some comments here just makes me sick, so what if it’s loud it is part of our soccer culture, live with it and as for the joke well that’s just in poor taste clearly the 'comedian' has never gone to bed hungry. Also please tell him not to worry about their medical aid, if you can’t afford medical cost, the state will pay – millions get it free.
Noisy Vuvuzela's with other soccer related items (caps, flags, side mirror flag covers) have at least put some money directly into the poor’s pockets so that they can afford a meal.
As for 'corrupt/poverty stricken' statement where do you get off, show me a country where there isn’t corruption or poor people. Those stadiums will be used after the world cup and not just for soccer – it’s already pulling in rugby crowds into the townships, generating jobs and doing a hell of a lot more for race relations that any political statement can ever do.
The upgrade to Airports, Roads and public transport, won’t go to waist either we desperately need it the world cup just forced the politician to work together.
So please before making blanket statement on this look at the bigger picture, all in all the world cup will do more good than harm.

I think even louder more obnoxious instruments of sound will be used in the future, so be it, I would never attend a match because of the incessant noise, which is my choice. Here in the UK, there are often charity adverts on TV asking for donations to be sent to various African countries to help with food, medicine, etc...
