I did this also, although in a more round about way. I rebuilt my system (from Vista 64 to Win7 64) and upon reinstalling DVDP I stuck to the core few plugins I used most often, of which I had actually forgotten to include/install the Go History one. I also have not had any problems since the rebuild/reinstall and it has been pretty much rock solid (again, finally).

Check out which plug-ins you have installed. Probably some outdated plug-ins are causing your problems.

If you would like more help along with sympathetic ears, you might want to share as much information as possible about your computer setup: what computer, memory, OS and level, what A/V software, what kind of network - any atypical (not necessarily wrong - just not the norm) configuration elements. The more details, the better. Perhaps you will trigger a suggestion that hits the mark.

You might want to also note any significant shareware or specialized programs or hardware with special drivers, especially graphics, database or networking related.

Also, in the way distant past, I can recall hearing about corrupt MS components, such as Fonts and MS Net 2.0. Perhaps a re-install of MS Net 2.0 - easy and fast. There was also, a mention somewhere about a missing font that could trigger DVDP crashes. Anybody remember where that was? (thanks dee ...)
