Three teenagers and the ghost of a patriot from the American Revolution set across the country to uphold justice and fight discrimination.I'll Haunt You LaterSeason 1 - Episode 3Mudsy and the gang leave the mansion to check out some ghostly happenings in nearby Fort LaFitte. The Looney Duney breaks down just outside the fort adding to their concerns. Will they be able to crack this case or is it a lost cause? My Thoughts:Britt and I thought we would watch the Funky Snagglepuss... I mean Funky Phantom. The voice is done by the same person that did snagglepuss... and he didn't even attempt to make the voice any different at all. Other then the awful theme song... I always liked this show as a kid. And it still holds up for me... talk of nostalgia! Though I do have to say... why was The Funky Phantom always so scared? He was already a ghost... what more could happen to him?  But as I said... I enjoyed watching this again. Would like to see a DVD set released with all the episodes. | | | | Pete |

At the time I was more used to seeing him in the role more so then George Reeves. I believe this came from a time that I did not like to watch anything that was in Black and White.... yes... I was one of those people at one time. But I have sense learned there is a lot of great entertainment out there in Black and white... and now have all the George Reeves Superman episodes... including the early Black and White ones. But I think... to me at least... when I think Superman... I still picture Christopher Reeve. My favorite scene in this movie... one that makes me laugh even to this day... has to be the scene when Superman is seen for the very first time. Especially when he flies up the side of the building to catch Lois Lane... saying "Don't Worry Miss, I got you."... and she comes back with... "You got me... Who's got you!!!"... I don't know what it is about it... but I love that line. I know there is some that don't like how Christopher Reeve portrayed Clark Kent. But you know... while I understand that point of view... I find it very entertaining and fun to watch. I also felt it added to the whole Clark Kent can't be Superman... even more so then the glasses for a costume. I have to say... I think I like the entire cast for these movies. Especially Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor and of course there is Marlon Brando as Jor-El. Also I have to say I liked how they had some nodes to past incarnations of Superman when they showed a young Lois Lane riding the train with her parents early in the movie. They had Noel Neil as her mother... who was of course Lois Lane in Adventures of Superman and Kirk Alyn as her father... who was of course Clark Kent/Superman in the old movie serials. | | Posted: | | | | Toon Time! The series focuses on Wheelie, a red Volkswagen Beetle, and his girlfriend Rota Ree (a pun on both the "rotary engine" and Ruta Lee). Wheelie made his living as a professional- and quite successful- racing and stunt car. Wheelie didn't talk (Unlike the other characters in the show) but emoted by honking and displaying symbols across his windshield showing his inner thoughts such as a heart for love or a lightbulb for an idea. Wheelie could also produce any form of prop needed from his trunk thru the use of special mechanized hands, much like Inspector Gadget would later. Wheelie's regular nemeses were a 4-member motorcycle gang called the Chopper Bunch which included the leader Chopper (Who was jealous of Wheelie and had a spiked motorcycle helmet for a head), Revs (a sputtering three-wheeled motorcycle who often mixed up his words), Hi-Riser (who was tall in body but shorter in brains), and Scrambles (a small minibike who acted more like the good kid caught up in the wrong crowd). Scrambles would constantly try to warn Chopper that his plans were about to backfire only to be rebuffed ("Muffle it, Scrambles!") and end up taunting his sullen leader once they inevitably did:Double Cross CountrySeason 1 - Episode 2A cross country race is being held and the winner gets to eat and dance at a fancy restaurant with Rota as their date. Will Wheelie win the race or will Chopper and his bunch spoil it for him and win it themselves?My Thoughts:This was never a favorite cartoon of mine growing up. But I promised Brittany I wouldn't watch any of the ones she is interested in seeing without her.... and well... she isn't out of bed yet. And of course when she looked at the list... she was interested in all the good ones... only leaving me a few to choose from she wasn't interested in. While not terribly hard to watch... it remains far from my favorite of '70s cartoons. I mean this is a far cry from the wonderful work that Disney/Pixar did with their movie Cars. Unfortunately... they seen fit to put 3 of these on the '70s set that I have. More then any other show on the set. | | | | Pete |

I felt like watching another movie with Linda Blair. This is actually an old TV Movie. Yes I realize there is an MPAA rating above for this movie... but it is one of those rare occasions where a TV Movie put through the MPAA for an official rating at the time of it's DVD release. Another familiar face in this movie is Fran Drescher (The Nanny) who has a small part as Rachel's friend. This is actually one of the few movies I have dealing with witchcraft... at least compared to other horror sub-genres. Being a '70s TV movie there is of course no type of gore and most of the bad things that happens occur off screen. But it is a good story with characters you care about. I enjoyed this one quite a bit... I would recommend checking it out. My Rating: 4/5 | | | | Pete |

But it is my least favorite incarnation. That is all due to that aggravating addition to the series... Bat-Mite. But for some reason never watched it till now. So I haven't seen either movie in this set since I was a kid. It is a fun... entertaining family movie. Sure it shows it's age... especially in some of the special effects such as the flying camper. But that is easily forgiven with the over-all fun of the movie. Zoo StorySeason 1 - Episode 2The Hopeless Diamond has recently been stolen, so Hong Kong Phooey looks into the issue in hopes of finding it; though things soon take a turn into the unexpected when it seems a recent string of Kangaroo thefts may be related to the theft of the Hopeless Diamond.My Thoughts:Another fun episode. This was the last of the Hong Kong Fooey episodes in this set. One of these days I really should get the entire series. I know it was released long ago! Of course this is an adaptation from the book that Stephen King wrote. Who of course is my favorite horror writer. For a movie that is just over 30 years old... this movie has some decent scares in it. I personally haven't been scared from it since I was a kid... but I do remember it would scare my wife every time we watched it. A couple of my favorite spooky parts in this movie is .. 1. The kid vampire scratching at his friends window.... pleading with him to let him in. 2. The grave digger rocking in the rocking chair... looks over at you and hisses at you with his eyes glowing I am really enjoying watching this one again. As for comparing this one to the remake... that is something I don't normally like to do... but sometimes it is just too hard not to. I really like both versions... like them both a lot! but I think I have to say I enjoy this one the most between the 2. I don't know why... but to me this one is a pure classic when it comes to vampire movies... it is one of the ones to beat! Needless to say... this is one I would always highly recommend to any horror fan... and an absolute must see for any fan of vampire movies. Now... please lets see a dvd release of Return to Salem's Lot! It has been so long since I seen the sequel I can't remember anything other then it's existence. My Rating: 4.5/5 | | | | Pete |

Will C.C. trick Wheelie into falling for Chopper's traps? My Thoughts:The first thing I noticed when watching the second episode on the set... At least in the case of Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch is that they didn't have the opening theme on the second (and I imagine 3rd) episode. I still don't think too highly of these toons. It is one of those deals where I will watch it since it is on the set... but it is not a show I would actually buy to add to my collection... even if it was released in a complete series set. | | | | Pete |

I enjoy it. But I do prefer the series over this movie. That could be because I grew up watching the series. While the movie was fun it lacked the style of comedy that the series is so well known for. My interest in the movie strayed a bit once they got to the football game. I mean it was ok... but not sure it worked well with the rest of the movie. Especially where they had Hot Lips lead the cheerleaders.
