Well getting our fair share of snow now.

Expecting up to 14 inches around here. Nearer to Chicago.

Down here, up to 12 inches expected.
Then under a Blizzard Watch this evening into tomorrow morning for high winds blowing the snow around in open areas creating ground blizzard conditions.

Don't you guys have grit trucks. We had terrible time of it for 4 weeks here but all the main roads where kept open.

They spread grits on the roads in Scotland?!?!

That's gotta be worse than snow.

Grit melts the snow the salt kind.

Don't make start quoting My Cousin Vinny

Another 6-12 expected here tonight.  I love my kids but too much of a good thing should be saved for Summer!   It seems like they've gone to school about 5 days since Christmas.

And no disparaging grits!  Mmm... grits...

Got to agree with CalebAndCo. Grit is worse than snow. (But maybe we think so for different reasons ). Keep the grit trucks away from the roads. Snow mixed with salt is terrible to drive on. Give me pure snow any day.

I live upstate NY and we usually get it here but this year is different, so far. We got snow but nothing major. We completely dodged the bullet last week and it looks like we are only getting a few inches this time. But I still have this feeling that we will get one more big one before spring arrives.

I slid out sideways trying to get to school today (as is frequently the case, The University of Iowa is about the only thing that isn't shut down). Luckily, all my years of video games taught me how to slide and I got in the other lane instead of hitting the guy in front of me.

Buffalo gets such a bad rap - I've only had to shovel 2 days this whole season. We didn't get any for such a long time - not even a drop from the "Snowmagedden" that hit Washington.

We are supposed to get some this week...keep your fingers crossed!

Looks like the storm might be moving further north now. I guess I find out tomorrow how far north it moved.

They really downed the forecast for snow.
1 to 3 today and then 2 to 4 tonight. So about half of what they were predicting.

I sort of knew it was a bust when I saw how light the snow fall was and looking at the radar there is a lot of dry slots forming around here and sliding northward.
