Adding a Disc-ID of a re-release isn't allowed? |

-Gerri And that might just be impossible to tell. Since Corne's disc-id is different than the existing one, maybe the aspect ratio is too. (See the previous few posts.) Hard to tell without more information. | | | | Last edited: by Mallrat |

-Gerri I bought a DVD copy of The Secret of Roan Inish (043396-509290) in 2008 (the profile indicates a 2000 release). The original release was a dual sided (Anamorphic 1.85:1/P&S 1:33) disc per the on-line cover scans but there was no Disc ID in the profile. The disc i received was single sided (Anamorphic 1.85:1) and had a slightly different cover but the same UPC. So i submitted my disc ID with notes indicating i was only making film specific changes (Cast/Crew, etc.) so as not to step on the original release profile contents. It is a blatant re-release as they went fron double to single sided and changed the cover but they kept the same UPC. Should i have changed my profile to Disc ID based and submitted my disc by ID? I'm not planning on changing anything but tossing this out as a n example of what is being discussed. | | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

Hard to tell without more information. Fortunately there are are two online reviews of the DVD available. Both are written just a few months after the release date (2003). Both reviewers say that the aspect ratio is 2.35:1 (the change I contributed).
