Most of my family (especially my wife) and friends think I have a disease and refuse to support it!

I've been there myself.  But I managed to talk my way out of it.

My wife likes to step outside the box, so I got some great ones and some great ones that came as a total surprise.

Barton Fink
Miller's Crossing
Stargate Atlantis: Season 5 (given to me, but for the whole family )

On Blu-ray:

A Time to Kill
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Star Trek 2009 (in the Enterprise model )
Supernatural: Season 4 (my wife wanted this one since we both love the show)

Then we were at Target yesterday and they had a bunch of TV sets on sale for fantastic prices and I just couldn't pass on these:

24: Season 7 ($15)
The Office: Season 5 ($17)
Monk: Season 7 ($18)

I really wanted 24 and The Office on Blu-ray, but I couldn't pass on those prices!

I want to start by publicly thanking flyersfan for letting me know about BSG 4.5.  Now that said I want to publicly chastise Target for their handling of this weeks ad.  After seeing flyersfan original post I looked up the ad and saw the price.  I then called my wife who was visiting friends and told her of the ad and asked her to stop.  My wife hates buying DVD's for me because it always turns into a fiasco.  Last night she goes into Target and cannot find BSG 4.5.  She gets a doofy teenager who isn't old enough to piss by himself and asks where she can find Battlestar Galatica 4.5 which is on sale.  He looks it up, Ma'am we do not carry any such DVD, it isn't in they system so no other store will carry it either.  She tells him it is in the weekly ad.  Ma'am it isn't in the system so the ad must have a misprint.  My wife shows the pimply little dork the ad, he still cannot find it in the system so it MUST be a typo.  My wife calls me and says she gives up.  She comes home I go out to the other Target not wanting to strangle teen.  I go to the place it should be.  Two of the sets look like they have been run over by a pallet jack.  The last one is in good shape I go to the counter.  Wait in line while new clerk hired for X-Mas tries to figure out what she is doing wrong ringing the customer in front of me.  Rings me out I use my debit card then answer 500 questions about wanting the purchase on the same card leave come home.  I hope someone other than Target will have the Plan on sale so I can get it elsewhere.  I hate stupidity and inefficiency.

That sounds like half of my trips to Target (and other stores).  It's especially aggravatiing when I'm there at 8am Sunday morning and whatever I'm looking for is out of stock.

I've been drooling over that set for a long time. Is the amp (and box set) really worth the money?

i haven't watched the discs yet and didn't get to listen to the CDs as well.

The Amp is a nice gimmick IMO, as I don't have a guitar (anymore), it's unlikely I'll be playing it anytime soon.

The packaging is, however, top notch, the goodies are a real treat, and the coffee table book is simply amazing.

Throw in the fact that you get the Circus Krone Munich show on DVD only here and it is a great set for a collector, although pricey.

I like it a lot and was really and positively surprised by my GF on X-mas eve, as I had only hinted at wanting the regular in store edition.
