I would go with that if there wasn't a rule for disc IDs in the TV section.  That rule says, "Label each of the discs containing episodes of the series."  The rule says to label them, but does not define how.  Since it doesn't, that bit is open for interpretation.  When open for interpretation, I always go with what is most useful.

Not saying I am right, just how I read it.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

And why I always remove them (and they are always accepted) and always vote no to them when I see it added.

I always contribute them with both descriptors and they always get accepted.  So I must be doing it right.

You always delete them you say.  Well, the screeners had to accept them in the first place, didn't they?

Acceptance by the screeners is meaningless.

It is just another gray area that needs to be clarified in the Rules.  For me, more info is always better than less.

BTW, I don't think I've ever seen anybody contribute a TV series with bonus materials listed in the discs of every disc because they had commentaries on the disc.  This is just a red herring argument.

And if you really want to get technical, "Episodes 1-4" is not singular.  It refers to, and is shorthand for, "Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3, Episode 4".

Four individual descriptions!

The older TV boxsets always had the bonus features on the last disc. Lately, I see more and more where the bonus features are spread across multiple or even all discs.

Deleted scenes are almost always on the same disc as the episode it was cut from. I'm currently viewing 90210: Season 1. There is a featurette on each disc.

So, were do we draw the line as to when we add bonus features to the Disc ID.

I agree with Pete and the others. It looks messy and long. If you need more detail on where the bonus features are, it can be done through notes.

You completely misunderstood what I was saying there... I was saying if Ken and Gerri say that they want Episodes 1-4 & Bonus Material for TV series Then I would strongly feel that it should be done for ALL discs in the set that contain bonus material... whether it is a commentary, deleted scenes, or yes even the trailers that are usually found on disc one. It should  cover any and all Bonus Features that we track in profiler. And I was saying I always felt it was inconsistent that on pretty much every one I seen this done on was only done on the last disc when there was usually Bonus Features scattered throughout the entire set.

You know... I been thinking about this for a while. And I think I may have come up with a compromise for this.

It seems people wants this to tell them which discs bonus material is on... I believe this is because most of these people only use parent profiles for TV Series. When you have child profiles for TV Series in your collection this is already known through the Special Features tab.

So what about allowing Episodes 1-4 & Bonus Material for parent profiles this way it is highlighted which discs to look on for those only using the parent profile.

And not allowing it for child profiles since this info is already in the Special features tab... already set to what is on that disc (or is supposed to be).

Of course I do still feel I am reading the rules correctly so I do feel we would need Ken's approval for this. But I do think that if I am understanding this correctly this should make everyone happy.

Everybody happy?!? But...but...but...then there wouldn't be pages and pages of postings to read.

But seriously, this seems to be a great solution - I hope that it satisfies everyone and will be implemented by Ken and Gerri.

Good compromise Pete!

Another solution could be to add a checkbox for Discs containing Special Features. This way it wouldn't look so messy, and everybody should be happy?

That would be great Berak... of course it would take Ken to add it to the program. And I would fear people wanting to check the box for movies. So would also need something in the rules.
