All are well, and all is well.

Just talked to her -- she's out her dorm on her way to early (8:45 am) check in. The Marathon starts at 11:00 am PST (2 & 1/2 hours from now) and runs through 1:00 pm tomorrow. The first and last hours are wear whatever (and the dancers are highly encouraged by motivational speakers, etc. during those hours). The middle 24 hours are broken up into eight 3-hour theme sessions. The first is a Fantasy session, where they are to represent the fantasy come real of finding a cure for pediatric AIDS. She will wear a fairy costume. Other themes include Electricity (she has a Tshirt with a Mary Marvel lightening bolt design), Wilderness (Indian, excuse me, Native American princess outfit), Stone Age (Pebbles Flintstone), Egyptian (her Mummy Princess outfit from a Halloween skating show -- it's on YouTube), Jungle (zebra print with tail & ears), Outer Space (Jedi Knight outfit), (these are all listed radomly as I think of them), and the final theme will be School Spirit (in UCLA shirt & hat).

If you go to the website for the marathon, there will be live streaming cameras.

You can still donate to her and the marathon throughout the time it is occurring. She'd love to best all her teammates (she's currently in second place).

Donate here.

Thank you all! (Especially FunkyLA, and everyone else who added to the funding)

UCLA Dance Marathon has ended (about 45 minutes ago). This year they raised $407,223.73 -- combined with the more than $1.6 million raised by this event prior to this year, now they've raised more than $2,000,000 for their cause.

Thank you all!

(See you about this again next year. Admin, you can now unpin this thread; thank you, too.)
