Well, if it's ProLogic II, then it could very well be converting a stereo signal to 5.1 surround. The images of the AV receiver's display seem to support this. btw. "Dolby Prologic (II)"-Receiver can not convert Stereo into 5.1... it's not magic or witchery ;-) if there are no matrixed channels in the 2.0 sound, then you can't create them by nothing... | | | regards, Mad -

We track by matrixed channels. maybe. but the rest of the world does not ;-) (See tkinnen's picture from the audio-menu... ;-) ) still "2.0 surround" is the best describtion for a "Dolby Surround" (dts Stereo, etc...) soundtrack, because 4.0 is not correct as well. If you can hear (usefull) sounds through your rear- and center-speakers it's Stereo-surround (2.0 surround) no matter what the flags say  If you only here sound thru the center.. it's 2.0 Mono (so no real stereo) if you only here thru left and right speakers (especially no rears) than it's just (real) stereo (2.0) | | | regards, Mad -

I've found quite a few DVD's that are "Mono", but decode with a "Surround" flag in certain programs. The last one was Mr. Mom from MGM. Anchor Bay did it quite often on their older releases. | | | | Corey |
