The issue seems to be that all the child profiles have not been created, but that the discs are linked to the parent profile.  Will the discs play in your player?  If that is the case, and provided you've read the contribution rules (you likely have, I'm just saying to cover all bases) then this is what I would do:

1.  Take the profile for the parent (Star Trek Motion Picture Trilogy).  Strip the disc IDs out of the disc information part of that profile.  That info doesn't belong in the parent profile.  Close this profile for now.

2.  Insert disc 1 in your computer.  I believe you said this gives you the correct profile.  Download it.

3.  Insert disc 2 in your computer.  Uncheck the box at the bottom of the screen that says "download profile from Invelos".  Create the profile from scratch.

4.  Insert disc 3 in your computer, and do either #2 or #3 for it, whichever needs to be done.

5.  Open the parent profile again.  Add the three movie profiles to the parent via the section "box set contents."

6.  Submit all four profiles to the online to correct the issue for future users!

I would try that but for this problem.

The DVD Rom I ran them on is a Plexter that tells me they are coded wrong. The DVD Rom in this computer is a LG and doesn't read the disks well. Sometimes I have to open and close the drive 2 or 3 time to get it to read, other times I have to reboot to get it to read them. There is something wrong with them big time. Now I can't get my drive to read disk 3 at all. Also if I remember right, the time I did get it to read disk 3 and scan the DVD, it auto went to the parent profile.

couple of things..  try to chkdsk/defrag your C drive., (that may help to read your LG dvdrom , which- by the way- is a very good inexpensive DVD player)., or replace the LG DVDrom drive with another, it may have found the end of its life's efficiency., and they are well below $28.00 .

Never used my DVD drive for more that a few program installs. It plays other DVDs fine. I have given away the box set and will just buy special editions of the 3 movies latter. Removed the box set from my profiles.

I wish that was the problem, but.
Disk 1 is coded R1 United States, disk 2 is coded R1 Canada, disk 3 is coded R1 United States. All 3 should be coded R1 United States, Canada.

There is no such thing as R1 USA and R1 Canada. It does not exist. R1 is R1 is R1, no matter which country the disc was released in.

Region codes are: R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8 or any combination of those, including none at all.

It sounds to me that what you're seeing is that DVD Profiler reports disc 1 and 3 as American and disc 2 as Canadian. But that's simply because the same disc is used in both USA and Canada, and someone has registered them with Canadian locality in the database.

The reason it auto goes to the parent profile is because the disc is currently associated with the parent and there is no child profile for it to go to.  You have to create it, and for that you have to uncheck the box that says 'download profile from Invelos.'

Of course, if the discs can't be read by your player, that's another issue entirely.

They are not in the data base.

When I could get it to read the disk, and I tried to Scan DVD-Rom Drive. It didn't even ask to download the profile, it just went to the parent profile.

This is because the disc ID was associated with the parent profile.  So the program thinks you already own the title.  What you would have to do, if you still had the discs, would be to strip that information out of the parent profile first.  Then click on 'add DVD to collection' and then 'add inserted disc.'

The disc-id is listed in the parent profile for Canada, but is blank in the US parent profile. All three films need a child profile created by disc-id that then would be linked to the box-set parent.
