Houston residents busted for bootlegging "2012" DVDs. Would you believe "Paranormal Activity"? Okay, how about DVDs of the "Get Smart" TV series?

I just verified it at the Houston Chronicle.

Why didn't you simply click on my link in the first post?

Some of us can (at times) be more informed than you, obviously.

Or did you need to verify that I had not set up a fake Chronicle website to deceive you?

Sheesh...

Vibro I think you Skip was checking because you said you stole the headline from fark, not because he doesn't trust you.  When you added the sorry about that chief I thought it may have been a gag as well.

ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!

Quoting Lord Of The Sith:

I used to buy on Ebay all the time and they used to have great prices.  I once bought a ten dollar movie for ninety-nine cents and then two bucks shipping.  These day are over though.  The last three films I bought on Ebay, years ago now, were bootlegs.  I had one seller tell me that is just the way it was.  He did refund me though so I cannot complain too much.  But now I will not do it.  For those of you who do, here is a rule to remember, if it sounds to good to be true it is.  I can see finding the real deal for  five bucks less than the brick and mortar, but when someone offers a brand new film that is 24.00 in the brick and mortar for 5.00 it is a crock.  Also if someone offers Disney movies online they are VERY likely to be bootlegs, especially if from Asia.

I rarely use Ebay, but I the things I did purchase there were all originals. And I have been able to find some hard to find movies.

I found an German Anamorphic widescreen release of Death Wish V in the US which had been out of print for quite some time. And also a Swedish release of Cannonball Run 3 (aka Speed Zone). Granted not the best movies, but it at least enabled me to complete those 2 series

At least they probably won't have to answer to the Coca-Cola company.

Let's try and keep the Title bar as a Teaser instead of all information included ...
In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

Odd -- it still works for me... sorry.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

I buy from Amazon Market Place, prices for used and out of print DVDs are usually cheaper.  Also, Amazon appears to be more interested in protecting the buyers than Ebay.
