The thing you have to watch is little oddities. For example, most of the time the Cast infor for the Flintstones is the same , but then they slip in somebody else. And that one name... makes a great monkey wrench. This true even for something like Gilligan's Island, where all of of sudden up pops Vito Scotti, Denny Miller, Hans Conried  or whoever to mix things up, but usually it's just the main cast. In fact the Seven of the first Eight Episodes on Gilligan's Island are just the main cast except for the ONE episode that guest stars Hans Conried as Wrong Way Corrigan, he is the ONLY guest star in the first 8 shows...so like I said...why would you not simply follow the Rules.
