If it was Target, does it have a different UPC on the outer cover, like Ghost Rider had a different slipcover with a unique UPC?

It doesn't have a UPC.  It was a disc that was in an envelope inside a 2 Disc set.  You have to enter it in via DISC ID, which means you'd physically have to have the disc.

Hope this helps.

All I can say that you must be doing something wrong, but I am not sure what it might be. IF it's not in the database now, the no one else apparently boght the title from Target as it's been out for some time now. It's not a new release. I have never had any problem building any profile from Disc ID or from UPC. The only thing I can think of to offer is send me the disc, I'll build the profile for you and return it to you.<shrugs>

The only other thing I can think of would be if you're running any kind of software like AnyDVD, DVD4free, etc., that may be messing with your drive and altering the disc ID. I recall when I used to use AnyDVD that would completely change the disc ID if left on.

No piece of paper on the back mentioning the bonus disc that may've had a different UPC and got tossed or mis-placed?
It really shouldn't matter. I just tried to click "submit" on a custom I entered by disc ID (which is a dvd-r) and it was going to let me. There's no reason for it to say you have a invalid UPC when it's only the disc ID.

The thing is, I'm not doing anything wrong here.  Over the years, I have submitted several bonus DVDs using Disc ID, so this is not foreign territory for me.  There apparently something wrong with the software.  I had previously asked for Good Luck Chuck's bonus DVD, and although it's not new, another user was able to assist.  I hope the same can be said of this bonus DVD as well.

Actually, for lack of a better way of putting it, this is a naked Windoze system with NOTHING on it but Windoze XP SP3 and this program.  This setup's sole purpose in life is to run this program and has been for quite some time.

what dvd playback software do you have?  been checking over your above notes and still no mention of the software.,, ( i.e. cyberlink powerdvd ).,, .
Perhaps you could reinstall the software.., or better yet before you do.., take one of your previously mentioned contributions, and try and reinstall that ID back to profiler., As dvd-rom should - 'spinup', display movie on PC screen, and send that ID to Profiler,  which would find, and highlight the title in question.
If all this fails..,, reinstall or upgrade your DVD playback software.

Dude, I appreciate the suggestions, but you apparently missed what I said:

That means there is NO DVD PLAYBACK SOFTWARE installed.  Nothing.  Nada.  Nunca.  Zero. Zilch.  The other items work fine, and I have reinstalled this software.

Just as a maybe suggestion for solving the "invalid UPC" problem.  I had an issue with that for a profile that was in my db and solved it by deleting the profile and re-adding the item in question.

So, what I might try doing if I was you, would be to delete the existing profile in your db, and then re-ad the disc in question.  Since it's a bonus disc, I'd add it separately from the profile it goes with (for that you just need the disc-ID, no UPC required), fix the bonus profile and contribute it, and then associate it with the parent.

Don't know if you want to do all that, but that's the only thing I can think of that might work that I haven't seen as something that's been tried (earlier in the thread, I mean).

Been there, done that several time.  Thanks so much for the suggestion... I am out of ideas myself and that's why I asked if someone could add the profile for the Target bonus disc to The Water Horse instead....

Just wondering what is on this bonus disc?
Featurettes / trailers? full length movie with special audio commentary?  ..
Besides the Disc ID and besides the Upc code ( if any) ..,,  can you not just create your very own disc for profiler and NOT upload it..  as you appear to be the only one who has this disc and is a member of Invelos..

Target had a bonus disc for The Water Horse: Legend Of The Deep.  It includes “The History Channel’s Deep Sea Detectives: Loch Ness” program.

As mentioned above, there is a problem between the program and the DVD player that is prohibiting me adding it... I wouldn't mind doing so if I could, but troubleshooting has gotten me nowhere.

Once again, I would appreciate it very much if someone could submit this.

What he's saying is that you can create a profile for yourself without the disc...no DVD player required!

If the disc is in your computer take it out...then...

Simply go to the menu option DVD | Add to Collection... then select Add by Title and UNcheck the Download profile from Invelos box near the bottom left of the window.  You will be asked for the disc title.  Enter that then click Add DVD.  Then click Add Now to <whatever list you want to add it to>.

You should then have a Manual profile you can fill out to your hearts content.  It won't have a UPC or a Disc ID.  It is local only (you can't contribute it) but at least you'll have one, because right now it appears you are the only who reads these forums and has this disc.
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!
