Hi and again welcome to the Forum I'm trying to get my head around what could be the problem you are having, it's incredibly rare I have found in the Database to get mismatching films, sometimes you will get a duplication of a EAN but out of 1,100 discs I own I think I have got only one  instance and that was 4 discs in a boxset sharing the same same DiscID.

It would be really helpful to give a couple of examples (the US English ones prob would the most useful), post the EAN's and what you have as the mismatch, wiser heads than me should be able to offer an explanation and hopefully help you find a solution.

To look up a DVD in your collection by UPC, click on DVD in the menu options at the top of the screen.  Go down near the bottom and click on select by UPC.  A small window will pop up.  Scan your DVD UPC with your scanner and DVDP will jump to that DVD.

To create an icon on the toolbar, right click anywhere on the tool bar and click on customize.  In the customize window, click new and name the new tool bar what ever you want to.  Check the box so the new tool bar will appear somewhere on the screen.  Left click and hold the mouse button down and drag the new toolbar to where ever you want it on the exixting toolbar.  Next, click on the commands tabe in the customize window.  Click on DVD under categories.  Scroll to the bottom of the list on the right side or until you see Select by UPC.  Once you find it, left click and hold on it and drag it onto the new tool bar you created.  You can close the customize window.

I created a new toolbar with Select by UPC, Backup and Restore on it so I would have easy access to these functions.

You actually don't have to create a new toolbar.  You can add these icons to the existing ones.
