It's not possible where the credits are in kanji, as DVDP does not support Unicode.

Are you making fun of me?

No, I was being informative and correct and would prefer you not to imply I was lying or misleading for other people's amusement at your expense...

Ok.  Let's cut through the smoke.

Delphi's lack of support for unicode is not an issue.  If Ken wanted to address it he could.  Anything can be rendered into ASCII text and stored.  It would be inefficient, but it could be done.

The argument of cultural correctness vs. "data correctness" is completely sily.  We already parse the names for cultural correctness western style.  We parse "Robert Downey, Jr" as:

First: Robert
Middle:
Last: Downey, Jr.

Not as:

First: Robert
Middle: Downey
Last: Jr.

The ideal solution for asian names would be to parse the family name into the last name field and handle the given names correctly.

But that's not going to work here because most users have limited familiarity with asian names so it is unworkabe to do anything else.

First: Yun-Fat
Middle:
Last: Chow

is culturally AND data correct no matter what order they appear on screen, but try convincing someone of that when they're blinded by their own culture.  With the approval system we have it would be more trouble than it's worth to try and argue over every single name.  And some people would argue just to be difficult.  They always do.

It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
