You're all right, it's not a registry change.

Within Profiler, go to View ---> HTML Windows ---> Edit

Then go to Section ---> New

Give it a name, such as Overview.

Paste the text starting from <HTML>  & ending with </HTML>

OK.

Go to View ---> HTML Windows ---> Overview (or whatever you called it)

Voila!

Sorry, under the View menu in Profiler, there's an HTML Windows sub-menu. Select Edit from in there and a new window "Edit HTML Sections" opens up.
Click the icon that looks like a blank white page to create a new section and call it "Overview".
That will create a new section. Simply replace the code on the right with the code in my post and click OK. This will return you to the main window.
Once back there, go back to the HTML Windows sub-menu and this time your new HTML window should be listed there. Click on it and it will open as a floating window. You can now drag and drop this window and place it anywhere you like in your layout.
At the same time, you can also drag the original Overview out and then close it (using the red x in the corner) so you don't end up with two overviews in your layout.

Edit: Forget explains it with a lot less waffle!

Your instructions are great and the results from the "Preview" look like exactly what I needed.

The only problem I'm having now is in finding the OK button to accept this change. I've loooked all over the page and can't find the OK button. I do have a little overscan on my projector 16:9 screen so maybe that's the problem. If I can find out where it is physically located on the page I should be able to find it even though it might be out of range.

Thank you.

It's on the bottom right of the window, there's a Cancel button on the extreme right end, and the OK button's just to the left of it.

But try double-clicking on the very top name bar of the window (where Edit HTML Sections is written), if you're lucky this will reduce the window in size and hopefully bring the buttons into shot.

If the buttons aren't there, I do remember there being a problem with non-standard screen sizes and font sizes causing the button text to disappear, but I'm not clear on the details, sorry.

The mystery deepens.

I tried the same process on my desktop PC with the same results. I still find no OK or CANCEL button in the lower right hand corner where you say it should be. In fact I can't find any way to exit this page except for going to Windows Task Manager and canceling Profiler.

What should I try next?

Thank you.

EDIT: My PC monitor is a 4:3 format screen.

That definitely sounds like the missing buttons problem that was posted about here a long time ago. I'll see if I can find the thread that discussed it and post back.

I see goodguy found it before I did.
Unfortunately it looks like they never did find a solution to the problem, although pressing Alt+F4 will at least get you out of the window without using Task Manager.

There's only one other thing I can suggest and that is to check that the Tahoma font is correctly installed on your PC and isn't corrupted. I know there have been some display issues that turned out to be a corrupted or missing font, but I can't say that this will bring back your buttons.

If Ken's reading this - please put Save and Close options in the drop-down menu!

GG,

Thanks for the link.

I tried using Enter/Esc from the keyboard after pasting NB's text but that does not work. OK button is nowhere to be found? ARRGGHHHH.

If there's nothing wrong with the Tahoma font then best I can suggest is if you email me your layout (use Save Layout to call it something specific, you'll find the .dpl file inside My Documents/DVD Profiler/Layouts), I'll add the Overview window for you and email it back. Then all you have to do is put the .dpl file back into your Layouts folder then use View -> Load Layout

I fortunately don't have to do this often but i have this problem because i have the Windows DPI setting at 125% [Large Size - (120 DPI)].  My solution to this is to reduce the DPI to Normal [Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> DPI Setting], reboot, then do what i need to do to HTML windows, change the DPI back to Large and reboot again.

This is a mercifully rare procedure.

And good idea for Ken!
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

You can also save by clicking on the section name on the left, then pressing Enter.  Or, ESC to equal cancel.

Got it all figured out.

Be nice if you could change Overview font size like you can font color and background though.

I'm liking this program and support more all the time.

Thanks to everyone for the help.
