As Astrakan said, the default settings with Vista, when you try to use the buttons to add formating, pictures, or hyperlinks to the thread, you will get a message (shows up just below the tabs) telling you that the website is trying to use a script. You need to click on this and select temporarily allow pop ups from this site. After doing this you will need to reclick on the button you were trying to use and it should then work properly.

As far as people asking if you are trying to post it here or in the program, that stems from the post of yours where you say

"this pic is on my computer and i have to send it to a web site then to dvdp?"

the forums are not tied directly to the DVD Profiler program. They are two different things and you do not need to use the forums to use dvd profiler. So to post a picture on the forum you do not need to send it to dvd profiler but you do need to have it posted on the internet somewhere (hence the suggestion of posting it to a free image hosting software).

As far asking for you language, many users here are from countries other than the US and do not use English as their first language. Since you don't have your country listed in your profile (the flag under some peoples names) they don't know what your native language is and since there seems to be some communication issues going on they asked if you natively spoke another language. If you do, someone could probably communicate in that language and help you much quicker.

As far as negative feed back for posts in this thread. To whoever is doing that, the red arrow is not for posts that didn't answer your question but rather for posts where the poster is being unecessarily rude.

I've seen nothing but posts trying to be helpful in this thread, and don't think anyone who posted is deserving of a 'red arrow'

i want to put a pic on a post

This has been answered in both the second and third post of this thread.

But I'll do it again.

1. Upload the picture to the web.
2. Create a post on this forum.
3. Click on the "Insert an image" button above the text entry field. It looks like this:
4. Enter the address (URL) to the picture you uploaded to the web in step 1 above.
5. Add any text you want to the post and then press Submit.

Note: It's possible that your web browser is configured in such a way that when you follow step 3 above (pressing the button) the popup is blocked from being displayed. If this is the case you'll get some kind of message. Often at the top of the browser window, under the URL address bar. Usually you can click on that to give permission to this website to launch popups. You may have to click the button again to display the popup.

If all this fails, my best advice is to quote this post and see how I inserted the picture of the button, and then try to copy that procedure.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, A SIMPLE ANSWER TO A SIMPLE QUESTION, THANKS AGAIN

to clarify, they are owned/run by the same company. It's just that you can use the program without ever evening knowing the forums exist

Can you guys believe I got a negative for this one? Pfffff

to compensate... that made perfect sense... around here that can be a very important question as we have a more diverse user base then any other forum i frequent.

back to the original poster...

Are you trying to get help with the parts of DVD Profiler that occur in your web browser, or the parts in the stand alone application?

I gave you a positive to wash the negative out.

I am not following what is going on with this guy. He is getting answers to his questions and because he can not figure them out he starts throwing negatives around like candy. This is where the reputation system does NOT work like it was meant to.
