| | Posted: | | | | There's an old movie named 'The Wizard of Speed and Time' which has some great stop-motion animation in it.
It is actually part of the story-line, and you get to see the film-maker setting up and shooting the frames, and then the final product later in the movie.
Definitely one to look for ... in fact it's the only Video I still have after dumping the rest of them a few years ago

He went on to do various stop-motion over the years including various Full Moon films, and also some big budget films before his untimely death in 1999. | | | | Corey |

I actually have heard of The Wizard of Speed and Time as it's had a few mentions on the radio station I listen to. Those Caprino films look good, though I'm a little put off by the non-OAR on them.

Evenrually they are moving those dinosaurs to special (game) reserve so to say. The dinosaurs were done stop motion too? Just cannot remember the title... I'll see if I can find anything.

I'm curious to find more stop-motion "out there". Anyone know any cool stuff, either entirely in SM, or that has strong elements of it in it? What can people recommend?
I ordered Mio and Mao for my gf (SM fan and lover of cats), which unfortunately hasn't arrived yet (her birthday's today). In that order I also grabbed myself Quaqquao which I really dig.

Robbie the Reindeer: Hooves of Fire / Legend of the Lost Tribe
Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit (though I'm thinking of disposing of this one).

I also have Lavender Castle on order from the UK (in addition to the three volumes of Quaqquao I alluded to earlier. |

Curse of the Were-Rabbit I find watchable, but have probably seen too often (my gf has younger siblings). I might otherwise hang on to my copy except that the gf has a copy too (and I'm in no hurry to rewatch it).
Sorry to shock/offend those who love these movies/Aardman in general, but that's life.
