But why would that matter? How would the Credit Lookup Tool fail to work just because the numbers are different? --------------- |

I've never seen a show which had the season info on-screen in the opening and/or end credits. And this way all seasons, as well as the separate discs, no matter how packaged by the distributor of which language they're in will have the same original title....
No, because then the DB considers show season 1, show season 5 & show, the complete series all different releases of the same thing when they are releases of distinct material. It would cause a bunch of false flags as duplicates. No it wouldn't |

| Posted: | | | | Am I mistaken? Didn't Geri Cole clarify that original title had to have season indicators for those that uses (in the options) Disply: Original title because if you didn't they would only see a list of several seasons od whatever TV series?? | | | Pete |

I don't know what Geri has said, but my opinion is that those who insist on using just Original Title in Settings should add season indicators locally only. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. As such, the original title for, say, the third season of 'MacGyver', is not 'MacGyver'. While that's the title of the show, it's not the title of that particular season.
This is only rarely an issue on US profiles, but anywhere else that same third season of 'MacGyver' is called loads of different names, like "Stagione 3" (Italy), "Die dritte Season" (Germany), "Intégrale saison trois" (France) and so on. You can see how it helps the CLT numbers *a lot* if these international releases all share the same original title. |

| Posted: | | | | That breaks it for those that use original titles in the list (as optioned in the options). so season indicators must be used in original titles... it was clarified long ago by those in charge of invelos and the rules... Quoting Gerri Cole: Quote: I didn't mean for you to switch languages in the field, I just mean if you have:
Title: TV Show A: Season 1 Then the original title would contain "Season 1", not something like "First Season".
So my suggestion was to go with your first option, Unicus. I never meant to suggest the second option. | | | Pete |

What matters is that we can all look at the CLT and get the same numbers. What those numbers actually are does not matter. --------------- |
