What happens on another forum has little baring here on this forum, regardless of who it's geared towards. It's just a bunch of people venting due to frustration where they can do so without repercussions.

This isn't my problem with it Vittra, I've done the same myself at some occasions. But my problem is that you, not you personally but a general one, had post personal information there. You (against general you) had posted PM that Skip had send to you (AGY), again I can understand since I've already received one that blow my fuse here and I've talked about it on another forum but I've never said who it was. Why? Because private means private (you can give the message without naming the person or make it obvious). The same was near to happen on my favorite forum and guess what? I and some other ask to lock this thread. Big difference between venting and aggressivly attack someone...

I just find it sad to see some people acting differently here than there...

I guess you have a different opinion of what a private message is. I can see where you're coming from though. To me though, you (general) shouldn't be sending things through a PM that you don't want to be seen elsewhere unless you completely trust the person on the other end. If someone else viewing it will somehow tarnish your reputation then it's probably something you shouldn't have sent in the first place. I'm speaking of offensive PMs. Basically what I'm saying is, everything you say is a reflection of your character regardless of who it's directed towards. If it happens to reach ears that you had not intended on it reaching, that's your fault for saying it in the first place.

I'm not saying that I personally don't treat PMs as private, but if someone were to treat me offensively through PMs, I think their privacy would be the last thing on my mind, in regards to what was said.

It isn't a flamewar at all, just one user who do his best to pass for the good guy who had clearly shown his agenda by linking something he had regreted not too long after since the thread in question was curiously deleted.

Time to lock this one

Exactly like your "Would you?" reply then?

Not at all, sam, you only prove your inability to comprehend what i referred to and i won't explain it for you, but you are, as usual, incorrect in your opinion. But i defend your right to be incorrect.

Well if you're unwilling to explain it to him, would you mind explaining it to me? Since I gotta be honest, that remark pretty much came across as laughing at the whole idea of this thread. You've pretty much made your stance pretty clear so this didn't seem like a stretch. Your first post consisted of "ROFLMAO" and second was "Lock it". But to completely laugh off other's desire to see the rules updated is kind of rude since really it would help everyone...

So taken like you typed it, "Would you?" would be taken as "Would you care about this thread if you were Ken?" Personally speaking, yes, I would care greatly because your community is asking for help. Just writing and selling the program is only half the battle. Customer Service is equally important. And updating the rules to make it easier for those of us who contribute is a form of that customer service...and really, ultimately helps him in the long run with more accurate and plentiful contributions.

So yeah, if you could enlighten me to what you really meant by it and explain that the above wasn't what you meant, I'm all ears.

It wasn't just me then? I would also like to know what you meant.

Just how old are you then?

Like me (and most likely you too), and Jonathan Swift, I imagine Skip is "as old as his tongue and older than his teeth."
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Agreed, there is  nothing to be accomplished with threads of this nature.
