Good grief, after more than a decade you still don't get the concept of BLOCKQUOTE, do you?
You are supposed to write after the last closing tag, not somewhere right before them. If you want to response to a specific line just close the quotes correctly and reopen them afterwards.

What exactly in this post ist your answer?

After reading this rather long thread, I came to the conclusion that there is only one user's contributions and notes I will not be able to trust any more at face value, and that's Skips.

I'm sorry but on multiple occasions blatantly fabricating notes when you either didn't check the actual data or just copy-pasted IMDB? Shakes head.

Not any more than I can trust yours, taro. You make errors too, but you have never had to be part of a mass transfer. Thank you for the personal attack however it is users such as yourself that have led me to decide to NOT contribute anymore, this decision was reached long ago Once in awhile I have tried and it always results in a series of personal attacks from idiots, so I won't play.  That includes the hundreds of titles that are NOT in the database from me or ever will be. Poor baby, Taro.

I think that's a bit unfair.  After checking contributions for the past few years I've come to the conclusion that there are many users' contributions and notes that should not be taken at face value.

Thank you, that seems to solve everybody's trust issue and we seem to be surviving fine without these missing titles.

As I mentioned, you need to keep in mind that that is set by the DVD authoring program and can be changed manually. So it is possible for a disc to be anamorphic, but still say 4:3 there (and vice versa). That is pretty uncommon and it is a mistake when it does happen, but you really should give it a quick check in a player (especially with more obsure and older titles) with your eyes to be sure.

True, I should have posted both of the pictures, since coupled together (along with the reviews) makes it pretty clear. Well, to everyone else but the submitter.

Of course people make mistakes - that is not the problem. Most people admit their mistakes and fix them.

As Hal had shown, Skip had multiple opportunities to correct this problem. Skip not only refused to admit when he was wrong, he found it necessary to compound the problem in numerous ways.

When shown documentation that proved Skip made a mistake, instead of fixing the problem he lied and falsified data.

He then found it necessary to lash out at other members of the community with unsubstantiated accusations.

A simple "I'm sorry" or "I'll fix the problem" might have been the right way to go. But, it was not how Skip handled the situation though. Instead, he decided that lies, threats and making excuses were the ways he chose to respond.

Admittedly, the probability of mistakes during a mass transfer is bound to occur. After re-reading this thread it appears this transfer occurred in March of 2007.

But, that is totally irrelevant to the topic at hand since this thread was posted March 7, 2011. One can not blame current behavior on something that occurred 4 years ago.

I then posted this, that shows Skip has a history of falsifying data. Although this contribution came 2 months after the mass transfer, that is besides the point because Skip specifically documents where he got his data from:

Quoting Kathy:

...I have updated Mickey Blue Eyes UPC 053939-256529.

On May 19, 2007 Skip provided long and detailed documentation on his contribution including "Cast and Crew data edited and Ordered per Actual film credits and per rules-As credited":.

The problem? Several of the Cast roles don't actually match the credits.

Some could be an honest mistake such as F.B.I. > FBI.

But how in the world did he get the following?

Skip's data: Carmine Parisi as Goon in Freezer
Actual data: Carmine Parisi as Luigi

The answer: IMDb:

Skip is so adamant that others provide through documentation. What good is through documentation when it is not the truth?

I have proven that while he documented that he took the data from the credits, it appears he copied much of the data directly from IMDb.

He KNOWINGLY violated the rules and standards set by invelos. There is a huge difference between this and an honest mistake.

In the past I trusted Skip and accepted his documentation and his words were true - I now know that he will do and say whatever he wants as long as it suits his purpose.

Now, and strictly because of Skip's behavior and actions, and the documentation provided by others. I agree with Taro:

Making errors happens and God knows I've made many myself. But each time a voter pointed it out to me or in the forums, I've admitted my mistake and owned up to it. However, unlike you, not once have I posted fabricated 'evidence' in my contribution notes. So yeah, have a    from me right back in your face, man.
