If you have previously downloaded a headshot for someone, then download another with a BY, obviously both stay in your database. You move all the credits to the one with the (approved) BY and delete the unneeded non-BY cast member and all is good. But then, if you download that person in someones update without a BY (because they didn't realise they have an accepted BY) then when you buy a movie with that person in their credit goes directly to the non-BY headshot.
I think for the main headshot database, it will need to be looked at for any birthyears and then have any of the same actor/actress without that BY removed from the main headshot database.
Does that make sense? |

| | Posted: | | | | I thought about doing that when I built v6 but decided that there's likely many cases of where a BY is not known so left blank. You could have Bubba Joe with a BY and without but they're both different people and valid because the one without a BY has no known documentation.
The way BY's are implemented, there's no way around it without introducing undocumented BY's and having those accepted by Invelos.
The only solution available to us at this time is to update the profiles that are missing valid BY's to include them. |
