That was one use of them, but it is not the use that Skip was referring to. Like I said, 90% will not know what you're talking about, Skip! LOL, point taken, Hal. I have an idea, Hal, let's talk about party lines and no that isn't political party lines. It's the old "I saw what you did and I know who you are" type of party line. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! Punchcards used to be the standard way of programming computers. Also used on knitting machines to set the pattern, I believe.
And, after a quick Google, originally used on textile looms in the 19th Century. Is Skip THAT old?!
Judging by his general know it all attitude, it would not surprise me to learn that Skip was a brutal mill owner.
Employing poverty stricken children to risk life and limb, ducking under the looms to collect excess bits of cotton that had fallen to the floor. A far cry from his now humble pizza delivery job Really, you thinks so, huh. Wow are you out of date. Tell you what, let me know when you are in DC and I will be sure to raise the price on all of my TVs just to make sure you get a so-so deal on a great piece of electronics. How about a real nice full backlit LED from Elite (aka Pioneer for say about $8500 | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

Yes I did, and a stack still got dropped. What a nightmare to put them back in order.
Anybody remember paper tape readers...? You are so dead, Charlie. Now excuse me, I have to go talk to Miss Watson over in research, Some of you might get it. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

It is not an acronym of anything and standard cap Rule applies. As I said we either have Rules or we do not. Where do the rules say use Standard Caps for all cap titles? |

| Posted: | | | | I posted this in a different thread but thought I'd post my thoughts on the appropiate one:
I'm not sure why anyone feels that Ken's decision affects any other title. He has made a point that this decision ONLY affects this particular movie and its sequels/remakes.
Any and all other titles are not affected and therefore this decision does not impact them.
I recommend that those who are unhappy with this decision might post their request for a change in the Contribution Rules Committee. | | | Last edited: by Kathy |

| Posted: | | | | Hate to admit it, but when I was a kid we had a party line also. Only 1 sit-down theater in town but there were 2 drive-ins in the area. 1st sit-down movie-The Phantom Tollbooth. |
