First of all, are you sure that modifications are available on your online collection :
http://www.invelos.com/DVDCollection.aspx/pauls42

But yes, once a movie is download on iPhone, I don't update it...
Refresh just get new movies.

So you have to delete your database and download your collection.

Yes, the modification was visible on the online collection of course. After I reset the collection then I got the new overview.

One suggestion would be to have a button visible on the detail page for the profile which did a full re-download of that one profile. So if you knew that you had made major changes to a profile then you could re-download that one profile - without having to re-download them all.

I think away around doing a full reset is to set a temporary exclusion up (on any profile where you've changed the overview) and tick 'hide in online public listing' and 'hide in online private listing'. Then when you upload to your online collection this DVD/Blu-ray won't appear in it. Then when you press the circular arrow up the top left of your iphone/ipod touch when in the My Movies Rack app, it should load up without the DVD that you have excluded.

Next go back to the DVD on your profiler and remove the exclusions you've set up and and re-upload to your online collection. This DVD will now be back there and when you press the right circular arrow up the top left of your iphone/ipod touch when in the My Movies Rack app the DVD should now appear there with the changes you've made.

Not the ideal solution but certainly a great deal quicker than doing a full reset.

P.s. You probably already know how to set up an exclusion but just in case you don't you right click on the red(ish) circle with the hand in the middle.

I've gotten past most of the problems described in this note.  But I still cannot get the filter to work.
I finally uninstalled and reinstalled the app, yet still no luck with the filters.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks,

- Ray

It's a problem that Sam is aware of and should be fixed in the next update

The new version is now in iTunes AppStore

Filtering works!

BTW:
I change the name of all BDs to (eg.) "Title *BD*" in my local DB. Now I can use Filter to find only BDs :-)

Sam: Is an combined iPhone/iPad version in the pipeline?

I've been thinking (and I'd love other peoples opinion on this), rather than have a paid app and a lite (free) version of the same app, why not keep the paid app and change the code for the free app so that it reads your wishlist instead of your owned collection? (P.s. I know nothing about code so I have no idea how easy/hard this would be to do).

This would mean current free users would lose out but lets be honest it's a nice little app that's hardly the most expensive thing in the world.

With the Official one not looking like being completed anytime soon I'd love to be able to carry my wishlist around with me as I have a much better memory concerning DVD's/Blu-rays I already than ones that I want to buy.

Since the last update, My Movies Rack doesn't work right....it says "Loading" for about 10 seconds and then it exits to the home screen of my iPhone (3GS, running OS3, if it matters).  Is this a problem anyone else is having or am I alone on this one?

it works fine for me - but I've updated to OS4. Try removing and then re-adding the app.

I found it does this if you either have a corrupt database or not enough memory to run the app.

To clear memory either reboot the phone or use an app like "scan" which clears the memory down for you.

Back in July Samuel mentioned doing a V2 app.

I'm looking forward to that and would like to request a new feature.

I'd like a button that would put the title and year, "The Bank Job (2008)", into the copy buffer.
Another button that would launch the IMDB app would also be great.
A button that launches the IMDB app so that it started on that movie would be a home run.

My rational is that we often enter discussions about actors and what other movies they appear in.  I don't necessarily own those other movies, so I really want to check a larger movie database.  Having the simple ability to copy the title and year would be something I could use to get closer to answering those types of questions.

So what's the status on V2?
