I found someone's PhD thesis entitled "The convergence of influences on and evolving praxis of mid-twentieth century British theatre design (1935-1965) through a close study of selected works by Motley and Jocelyn Herbert". A footnote in the introduction says:

"The three women who worked under the collective title of Motley were Sophie Harris (1900-66), Margaret ‘Percy’ Harris (1904-2000) and Elizabeth Montgomery (1902-1993)."
