If you haven't installed Adblock Plus give it a go; ditto DoNotTrackMe (DNTMe). Both are excellent and free.

There is no amazon icon displayed in the review pages on our site or on the review pages in the program.  If you're seeing an amazon icon on a review page, it's on another site.

A tiny unobtrusive icon is hidden in here:

Since this is web-based (Online Collection) you cannot switch it off from the main program.

When using Opera as browser simply Right-Click on the page, choose "Block Content" and click on the "annoying" element ... Gone
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

This is not a review, but is a profile in the user's online collection.

As such, should have been posted in the Website Discussion forum, allowing for more appropriate responses.

Just out of curiosity, why would I want to Buy at Amazon that which I already own in my collection?  Seems kind of silly to me, although I suppose it's really not doing any harm being there, never really thought about it before seeing this thread.      -kd5-

Probably meant for when you are viewing another user's online collection and see something you want.

I believe it also shows up when you view your Wishlist.

That's what I would have thought too, though it seems to be doing some psychological harm.

Assuming that the username of the thread opener and this company have something in common, the harm would be more than just psychological.

I guess some people have to learn that this software is not designed for commercial use.

In that case I guess the links could be removed if the price is right.  The user will just have to open up their checkbook  and realize that the price is no object.

Exactly, is my personal collection I dont wanna make publicity to amazon.

Im a old user of this software
http://www.intervocative.com/dvdcollection.aspx/Muabdib

In the old free version there was no advertising, it is curious that in the paid version, find advertising.

Yes there was in DVDP itself for the free version...

Anyway it isn't an ad but a "if you want that DVD check here" link.

Those links are the first "upgrades" to the online collections in quite some time.  If it leads to more improvements I'm all for it.
