Those were good but not the one I was thinking of. It has been a couple years since I read the thread but it had 70 or 80 pages then and it had great pictures of the really exotic cases like the planet of the apes set with the big monkey head. But thanks I do like the two threads you posted.

There is one, rather short unfortunately, thread here: Cool Packaging and Limited Editions
But most likely you are referring to the old one in the Intervocative-Forum

I have the Predator Bust. But i threw the box away. It was taking up to much space, and i will never sell it. Also have the Scarface Limited Edition DvD case. Rocky Horror Show Limited Lip Box Set (also threw the box away for that).

I don't buy limited editions to appreciated in value. There something i buy cause they look cool. Just in case some of you are horrified i threw the packaging away

I also have limited release of the The Crow Deluxe Edition from Japan. In comes in box with a figure, the film soundtrack on DvD, and of course the deluxe edition it self.

Would love to get my hands on one the James Bond Briefcase set. Wish i did back in the day

Edit: Best slip case i say have ever come across. Is my Platinum Edition of the fantastic Bruce Lee film, The Big Boss. It's also a very rare DvD.

And just as i thought, a complete copy of the predator bust new, is worth 500 quid now.

I just got the King Kong Peter Jackson's Production Diaries. Still sealed, I don't plan on opening it.

I should've grabbed this when FYE was closing (although I didn't know my location was closing as the employees lied to me). Just before they disappeared they had this on sale for $10, but I passed figuring I'd seen enough making-of.

Is it just the region 1 release of the production diaries that is fetching such high prices?

The region 2 release is dirt cheap.

Mine is region 1. I didn't look at the shipping price until I already locked in my bid. I was hoping to be outbid at 2.00, but I was the only bidder.

Region 1 is still pretty cheap online, starting just under $4 at Amazon so you could get a like new copy for $10 or less after shipping. New ones are still under $20 at one site, $30-40 at a couple others. Or new ones on amazon starting around $9, guess passing wasn't a bad idea as I could still get it just as cheap, if I cared to.

If this had the movie or something more people would be interested in, I'm sure it would be worth more $. I think others are getting burned out on making ofs and what-not. I used to love them and now I don't care. Used to watch every single extra from every disc I owned or got, now I hardly ever bother. I've even started skipping deleted scenes from library check outs, they used to be the first thing I'd watch after the film.
