Horrible! The mob is using facebook and twitter to organize the riots.

What I find extremely interesting are the names given for quite similar events:

Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Syria: Revolution
England, Greece, Spain: Riots
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I know that one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter, BUT: Are these people in the UK really "demonstrating" for something or do they just want to see something burn?

Probably a mixture of both here.
Uproars like this don't appear out of thin air. They usually have a long history.

Probably better to stop here. This might easily become a political discussion.

What a load of rubbish. If you truly believe the perpetrators of the London riots have any idealistic motives, you really need to watch this video. Even the family of 29-year-old Mark Duggan who was killed last Thursday has condemned the rioting.

As an Egyptian blogger wrote: “Egyptians and Tunisians took revenge for Khaled Said and Bouazizi by peacefully toppling their murdering regimes, not stealing DVD players.”

Im hardly surprised this has happen in England. The working class has been pushed further and further into an underclass. It only took one spark to set off the anger and alienation from civil society to cause this.

Working class? You've got to be joking. The people in these areas that are actually working are the victims of all this.

This report kind of says it all.

Those rioters are just thugs and criminals, there is no cause behind this, they only want to destroy things.
Police should be allowed to shoot on sight, that would show those thugs!

This has become a political thread. And the non-compassionate are dominating it.

Just like life.

Please stop.

Well, as I started this thread, I thought it would be full of "family/friends" are OK.

So...

My family, my friends and my workmates are all OK.

That is the important thing.

I hope that this thread gets "better"

That is all

It's now affected some DVD/Blu-ray studios:

We thank you for your understanding through this difficult time and will update with news of the availability of Arrow stock as it is available.
